One Year Ago
Nick Fury knew where all of his troublemakers were almost all of the time. This way he knew when a headache was coming. There was one individual, not necessarily one of the troublemakers, he always kept tabs on was one Steve Rogers, aka Captain America.

Rogers was currently enjoying a cup of coffee and scrambled eggs at Rosie's Diner. Nick walked into the diner carrying a manila envelope. He slid into the booth and smiled at the waitress that appeared at the table. "Cup o' yer best, honey," he said favoring her with one of his best smiles.

"Coming right up," she said and went to get the coffee.

He looked at Steve and slid the envelope across the table.. "Got somethin' ya might be interested in."

	"It's just something that I've been kicking around in my head for a bit," Steve says, "Something like an Avenger's covert strike force a bit off the books, something sort of like the Invaders. 	"Bucky and You if you were both up to it of course," Steve said, "A few others I'm looking into that could use a second chance and an eye on. Carol, Bobbi, and Rhodey are also on the list of possibilities along with a few others but I haven't talked to anyone else about this or even don't much more planning than that." 	"I know that believe me," Steve said. He had more experience than most with waking up in a time that was not his own. Generally speaking he had adapted to the times pretty well at this point though there were still times where he really missed the forties.
