It was his old home and yet at the same time it was not his old home. Since he had arrived Erik had learned the magnetic structures of his area until once again he could monitor them without thinking. It was much the same as breathing or your heart beating to him to have the fields and waves of power and resistance constantly at the edges of his awareness. It was one of the reasons he was always so hard to sneak up on. It is hard to take someone by surprise when you have to move through the magnetic fields to get there.

Their role here was not sure yet. He encouraged Exodus to explore and speak with people while they waited but he had kept himself separate for now unless he was approached by someone. Those who approached were always treated openly and with honesty which might be a surprise for some. And he kept his helmet off to show his trust that even should Emma decide to transgress and look inside his mind that she would find only the intent he'd shown since the beginning.

They would figure out what to do with him eventually or at least allow him to figure that out for himself. Until then he waited.

"There is no need for the island to stay the same size. Matter can be brought here to enlarge or stabilize anything we need." There was a hint of a smile since this was something he'd done to create most of it in the first place.

"Perhaps some satellite islands to grow food or run defenses."

Exodus nods at Magneto's observation, then, "Creating internal shelters seems a good idea, and we need not fear destabilizing the island as long as we are careful at he most essential points." Another nod to his lord, who could provide that information with ease when they laid the map out.

"Planting crops hasn't gone well here, so satellite islands capable of supporting such would be a good idea. Getting the landmass is going to be tricky, though. We'd have to avoid fault lines or other issues, and the United States' response to Utopia getting larger." Scott says.

"At the end of the day, there are about 1,000 mutants left on Earth, and the birthrate isn't going up as fast as we like. Any that want to come here and live peacefully will be welcome and we'll just have to get the space." Scott says.

"I would suggest instead of gaining land mass from the Earth we collect it from up there." He pointed toward the sky. There were asteroids and other debris that would make bases and they could build from there.

As for the fertility issues, the topsoil can be acquired from elsewhere. The Savage Land is again a good candidate," Exodus adds, so happy to be talking about Doing Things.

"I've got to admit, I didn't think of taking landmass from /above/ us, rather than below. There's a lot more in space that people don't think about, but...getting it to survive re-entry would be tricky. I'd ask that neither of you put yourselves at risk to acquire it." Scott says.

"The topsoil idea is one we can work on immediately, though, Exodus. You and Doctor Nemesis can take a few of the young X-Men to the Savage Land to gather what we need in order to make this work.

Erik, how soon would you be ready to work on gathering the mass we need? What resources do you need to make it less strenuous on you?" Scott asks.

"You just have to bring small bits down at a time to guide their speed and not burn them or yourself out." He looked up considering. "I see no reason I can't start now. I will consider what I may use to keep the strain to a minimum."

Exodus nods to Scott. He'll talk to Nemesis later. IF his Lord's getting started now... Paris doesn't want to leave him alone.

"Let me know, and if we have it, I'll do what I can to get it to you." Scott says.

"Of course." It still felt a little touchy to be working with them but for now he'd been given the freedom to start working so he'd see how this all went.

"I will let you know." With a small smile and a slight bow of his head he turned to go begin.

And Exodus will happily go with him.
