Eliosha Paravich sat in the same cafe in Rome, deciding what to do next with his newfound freedom. He was already sick of coffee (even WITH vodka), but he had not yet grown tired of watching the humans with their cappuccinos and espressos and fancy clothing.

He wondered what she thought of the sea of humanity, so he reached out to gently touch her mind with his. He simply wondered if any of these humans could understand just how fleeting their lives were to those who would outlive them and all of their descendants.
Kalypso would feel the touch of his mind on hers, but it was not invasive or probing. Eli was only trying to find out what she was thinking of those around her.
