Eli was aware of the disagreements with the other factions of their people; Father made no secret of his issues with Ikaris, though Eli did not know where they started. He would have to ask Ikaris himself someday.
"I suppose I have been a bit anxious to see as much as possible while I have the freedom. I could be called home at any time to aid in defending Polaria, and who knows when the next respite will come?"
He nodded slowly, listening to her answer and considering that he'd not thought of it in those terms, even if he that's what he saw as well.
"I agree with your assessment, even if it is a bit optimistic. Many of live in the moment even as they prepare for a future they may never see, or live long enough to appreciate. Yet, it doesn't deter them at all.
I admire that about them. They will never be here again, so they triumphs and failures are more beautiful for it." he says.
