Just a Misunderstanding
Teleporting was always disconcerting and disorientating. One moment they were in Oklahoma and the next they were in New York City right outside of the Avengers mansion.

Tryggvi reared and pawed at the air. Svalin put a hand on his neck and tried to calm him down. "Easy! Calm down Tryggvi! Please."

A second after their arrival the alarm started sounding.

Pound for pound, he's stronger. He gets this much out of the charge. What surprises him is that she's at least as quick, and better trained than he is. Despite all the hours his father spent drilling combat technique into him, there's no question in his mind, she's simply better. Especially as he's the one who ends up with the worse angle on the charge, and gets staggered by a forearm shiver with her shield, leaving him open to be sent sprawling by a sword blow.

On the other hand, he has range - trying to take advantage by firing another concussive blast at the ground under her feet.

	Svalin jumped when the ground under her erupted from his blast. A worthy opponent indeed! She deftly landed on her feet and charged again. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He's just starting to recover, still not able to hear, when the impact comes. He manages to roll with it, slamming back into the ground, switching to heat beams in the return blast as she does a fine job keeping him off balance. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The heat beams hurt, but Svalin is an Asgardian and a trained warrior. She would not stop until she was dead, which Odin forbid. She swung at him with all her might, trying to hit him with the hilt of her sword. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	That puts a quick end to the heat beams as she gets back into close quarters. He rolls with the force of the hilt-punch enough to keep his wits, but its a close thing. He swings forcefully with his right, trying to draw her shield away from her body enough to get a quick jab in with his left. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	She blocked with her shield, but had to take the hit from the left. He was stronger than a mortal should be, which was to be expected if he were an Avenger. She countered with swing of her sword. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The sword cuts deep again. If he had any organs, really, he'd have all sorts of cause to worry. Trying a new tactic, hoping to match her skill by keeping her off guard, he grabs for the sword while its still stuck into him, sending waves of intense heat directly into the metal. 	It takes a short while, but as Svalin tries to remove the sword it heats up. She released the sword and threw a few punches at him with her right. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The punches aren't quite as bad as the sword, but she's still skilled enough to make them hurt, and keep him off balance. He responds with a concussive blast, trying to get some room again. "You're good, maybe the best I've ever fought. Who are you people?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	She's knocked back from the concussive blasts, but she gets right back up. "We art the daughters and son of the Thor," she said as she rushed forward. "Who art thou?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Thor? Ok, that changes things, and as an Eternal, tells him exactly what he has to do.
As she rushes, he drops his defenses and drops to the ground, lowering to one knee and bowing, leaving himself wide open if she can't halt her swing in time. Of course, he's an eternal, so he doesn't stay bowing long, but the gesture is still there.

"I am Iason, son of Ikaris, of the Eternals. At your service Princess of Asgard."

	"At the moment, I think most of them are pressed enough, they'd consider themselves fighting for their lives. We're not really used to anyone with your level of skill. But I think I know someone who can. We need someone both sides will recognize." He calls into his com, "Black Widow, Iron Man, anyone? We need someone out here that Thor's kids would know on sight.
