Surprise Visit By Mom
When Eliza told Natasha about New Orleans, Natasha immediately had the other members of the Champions vetted by SHIELD. Her daughter was not going to be in a city thousands of miles away with people she didn't know about. Interesting that one of the members was Winter Guard and formerly Red Room. It didn't sit too well with Natasha, but after talking to her nephew and Ivan, she could live with it.

Of course the woman being there did make things easier for Natasha. A teleporter was an easier way to travel than flying down on a plane. One phone call was all it took to have the woman come to New York and pick Natasha up to take her to New Orleans. She wanted to check on Eliza and also tell her about the upcoming addition to the family.

Irina arrived on time and a moment later they were in New Orleans at the building where the Champions were making their headquarters. Natasha smiled at the thought of the Champions being revived. It called to the sentimental and nostalgic side of her.

She knocked on the door to Eliza's room.

	"Just a minute," Eliza calls. She is hanging up the clothes she had washed. She has no clue her Mom is here so she doesn't even disguise her surprise when she opens the door. Her eyes go wide and her face lights up. "Mom!" She doesn't quite jump Tasha but she moves right in to hug her mother "What brings you here?" (Reply to this)(Thread)

Eliza pulls back and looks very thoughtful. "Did Iason or Irina tell you what happened?"

She doesn't want to worry her mother but it's best to be up front. "I'm sorry I didn't go to you guys but... I was out of it. I could only think of Jack, Misha, and Iason. I ended upturning to him because I needed to talk to him. He ended up taking care of me while I wasn't really my best."

Eliza's face flickers with feeling. She is a very outwardly emotional person compared to most of the family even if she's very quite. "I'm just glad no one got killed. We came out okay. Shaken up but..."

She shrugs. It was to be expected. "I hadn't seen anything like that before. Anyways. Enough of that. Do you want to see the whole place or do you already know everything?"

	"We've all helped out. It helps that we can talk Argo into doing the heavy lifting and that everyone can do something to help out. I paint where the others are a bit leery going up. Natasha grinned. She was a firm believer in keeping her children's skills honed and sharp so there will be changed locks in the future.

"This place is nice. Nice and big to give you all room to move around without bumping shoulders and yet still feel like a home. It's coming along very nicely." Yup, it got Mom's stamp of approval. "What about security systems? What do you have in place?"

Watch Eliza have to use a hair pin because she didn't expect it.

"Not as much as I'd like. Nicholas has been covering keeping an eye out for ill intent.We have very light security right now. Just haven't had the time to install anything more than the best locks we could get," Eliza explains. "And a few cameras on the outside to let people know we're watching our backs."

She likes how her Mom thinks and won't say no to her mother's idea of security. She has learned to be prepared. That's the one thing she can thank that ..... jerk from Weapon X for. He made her learn to be prepared for enemies.

"I know. Thanks. I figure one of these days I'll figure out just what you think of as secure," she winks. "You always surprise me. Not a bad thing. I've got a lot to learn."

	"I know the perfect place Mom. I found it the first week we got here. It's a Mom and Pop kind of spot. But the couple that runs it is hilarious. You can hear them arguing in the kitchen sometimes," she says with a slight chuckle. "The food is really good." (Reply to this)(Parent)
