Live on the Scene (X-Men vs MLF)
A special report breaks in on almost all channels....

"We're here live on Ellis Island as apparently a group of mutant terrorists, known as the Mutant Liberation Front, have kidnapped a number of senators' children and grandchildren and have brought them to Liberty Island. The terrorists are holding the children in the torch of the Statue of Liberty. They have threatened to kill the children unless their demands are met. Sources have it that those demands are the immediate halt to the registration bill that is currently in Congress.

The children were abducted from their beds in the middle of the night by the terrorists and a note was left in their place. It is unclear at this time whether or not the registration bill will be killed. Congress is in session now debating the issue.

The question on everyone's mind is what is being done to save these kids? Where are the so called superheroes? Where are the Avengers? Where are the so called benevolent X-Men who want harmony between mutants and humans and fight for that?"

Blademaiden could feel that her back was now starting to bleed when she saw Rose’s low slash toward her right calf. She tried to block with the rapier but Rose was to close and fast for her to block it and Blade Maiden received a bad cut to her calf

“I’m going to take you down you degenerate,” says Blademaiden angrily as she slashes at Rose’s back with her dagger.

	Rose let out a growl that sounded more like a wounded predator than anything human. Just because she healed didn't mean that wounds like that didn't hurt. She kept herself half bent over, an animalistic crouching stance. She sprung forward, both claws driving toward Blademaiden's chest. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Blademaiden use the dagger and the rapier to defect the claws from hitting anything serious but still receives bad cuts to her sides. She then lets out a grunt as the force of the lunge sends her to the ground. At this range her rapier is almost useless so she takes a slash as Rose with the dagger and tries to hit Rose with the hilt of the rapier. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The dagger left another gash across Rose, getting her in the shoulder this time. Something tore, leaving her left arm useless for a few until it patched itself up. The slash across her stomach had already healed, and the one on her back was getting there.

The slap with the hilt made her see stars for a moment, and the backed off, blinking rapidly to try and clear her head. "You ain't bad," she said. "But I'm better." She crouched, then jumped up, slashing again with her right hand.

Using the time she had just made for herself Blademaiden puts some distance between her and Rose so that she might better use her rapier. Seeing Rose preparing another lunge she put up the rapier to protect her chest leaving her normally well guarded hand open. Roses slash cut Blademaiden’s hand badly and the pain is so bad she almost drops her rapier as she’s sent to the ground again. At this rate, Blademaiden thought, she was doing to need that psycho Bonesaw to heal her if she didn’t come up with a plan fast. Using her blooded dagger she attempts to stab Rose.

	Rose took the dagger full in the chest, narrowly missing her heart. She let out a cry of pain and rage, full of animal fury. She kicked with her right leg, trying to push Blademaiden away. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The savage kick hits Blademaiden straight in the face sending tumbling backwards. She is just barely able to hold on to the rapier but does drop her dagger. She then starts scrambling to her feet as fast as she can, though haze that her mind is in after the kick slows her down greatly. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	While Rose preferred the close range attack, she did have other options. With her left arm still useless and needing time to for her various wounds to close, she brought up her right hand and directed her psi-blast through her claw. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Blademaiden was still trying to get up on her feet when the psi-blast hit her square in the chest. She let out a loud groan as she was sent flying backwards again. 	Rose flexed her fingers as mobility returned to her left arm. A pain in her chest meant the dagger wound still wasn't finished healing, but her other wounds were just fine. 	Panting Blademaiden knew that Rose was right, Rose was healing from her injuries but she wasn’t. Now that she was on her feet Blademaiden pointed her rapier straight at Rose. Rather than attacking she waited for Rose to come to her and was trying to figure out if she should grab her handgun and end the fight now. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

With a smirk Blademaiden notices that how she is she is moving much faster than before and Rose has slowed down. She could tell Failsafe had helped her and was not going to take advantage of the speed she now had.

Having finished her thrust Blademaiden side steps Rose by inches if it weren’t for that speed boost Rose would have finished her. As Rose goes by her Blademaiden slashes as Roses back with the rapier.

	Blademaiden overconfidence lets Roses strike hit in the gut but she is able to back up using her speed before the blade goes too deep. Screaming angrily Blademaiden starts making a series of thrust with the rapier towards Rose’s chest putting some distance between them; the pain makes her strikes wild and the speed makes them come fast. 	Damn... that's a lot of... that's a lot of holes, Rose thought, as she tried to get back up under the barrage of sword strikes. She was even relatively certain something important had been pierced. “You’re right I’m not even trying anymore,” says Blademaiden with a laugh. Blademaiden was now focusing on painful strikes playing with Rose now, she was even considering etching an N on her chest like Zorro would do for her name Nadiah.

Blademaiden was bleeding badly but right now she didn’t care when she finish up with Rose she would need to get the bad ones wrapped up. While she would never admit it out loud to anyone Blademaiden knows the she would have lost this fight if she hadn’t gotten help from Failsafe.

	That Rose is still on her feet is nothing short of astounding. But each step is harder than the next; her yellow uniform is virtually one big blood stain.
