Of course, little does anyone know, but most of this is actually on film - some of it grainy and indistinct, but they're the news right now, the lot of them... though the kids are still in danger.

Andrew doesn't have any tricks right now, there isn't a 'smart fighting' way to do this that he's seeing. He's just fighting for all he's worth, trusting his healing factor to keep him moving as he goes punch for punch, giving almost as well as he takes.

When he desperately needs time, he finally lights on a tactic, if a desperate one - he backs off, and leaps, starting to clamber up the Statue of Liberty and daring the monster to come after him. After all, Rampage is tougher and stronger, but Andrew heals - if he can buy himself a few seconds, it might help him catch up a little - and getting higher, up to the torch if he can make it, brings him closer to the storm and more power.

It didn't take much for Rampage to follow. His punching bag was running away and he wanted to finish the fight.

He leaps after Andrew and begins climbing, pausing every other handhold to make grabs at his feet and legs.

Andrew has to kick at the hands a few times to make his target, but he finally reaches it - the torch.
And to his horror, he hears the kids inside, crying, trying to stay quiet, well aware of the danger they're in.

And he brought the monster there.

He knows what he needs to do. Andrew reaches up, drawing in every iota of energy he can, amping his powers as much as he can, waiting for Rampage to catch up.

"You ready to finish this?"

"Finish!" Rampage bellows, and takes a swing at Andrew.

He takes the punch, then another, then another. He's not going for Rampage. Instead, he tears the Torch open 'accidentally' as he falls, leaving a gap someone else might be able to exploit.

He's done what he can, marking where the kids are and giving someone airborne a way in.

He lowers his shoulder and charges, trying to tackle both himself and Rampage off the top of the torch.

All Rampage sees is the fight continuing. He has both hands in motion when the tackle comes. He's off the torch and falling, still trying to swing at Andrew.

He takes the punches, all of his attention on holding on, and trying to make sure Rampage lands on the bottom. There's no way this doesn't hurt, but if he can make it hurt the monster more, he's all for it.

The ground rushes up faster than Rampage can track. He lands at an angle with Andrew clinging to him. The landing leaves him disoriented.

He lands hard, bringing as much weight down on the monster as he can. He feels a few of his own bones break with impact - and worst of all, feels the thing still moving.
Rising up, he goes into a desperate flurry of punches, even as he feels something that shouldn't be moving and sloshing inside him doing so.
He's fairly sure his healing factor will eventually handle internal bleeding, but fast enough? That he's not sure of.

It doesn't matter, this is on him. He flails away, rights and lefts until, at last, he vomits blood, sits up dizzily, and promptly loses consciousness, just hoping his last effort was enough.
