At the Slaughtered Lamb
"In ancient times when werewolves roamed the land
There was an old pub called The Slaughtered Lamb"

Sammy arrived by taxi just after 7pm. She admitted to herself she was a little nervous. Nervous was not a normal feeling for her. The first time he'd caught her by surprised and got a cranky mood in return. His file was committed to memory, but there was a gaping hole in the information. Nowhere in it did she find anything brother-like and that was who she was meeting tonight. Now she wished she'd thought to ask someone to come with her.

The Slaughtered Lamb pub was a recommendation sometime back from Misha. His love of bad horror flicks dredged up 'An American Werewolf in London', and the two main characters encounter with the locals in the Slaughter Lamb. Sammy had never had a reason to come here before. It seemed like good neutral territory.

She stepped inside the pub and was immediately enveloped in the smells of food and people, the clacking of pool balls from the billiards room, and the murmur of voice and laughter. People were having a good time.

She saw how this was going. He would ask questions but not answer them. Without input, she didn't know what to talk about to him. He was more than twice her age. It wasn't as if they could talk about the latest movies, music or fashion, or that she would want to talk about those things.

Giving in for now, she focused on the delicious food and not the mystery Big Brother represented.

The look she gave him over the table was just short of incredulous. "Like mercenary? Because it's a toss up. Director of SHIELD, or mercenary. The skill set is about the same."

There was always assassin. Or thief. Lots of illegal occupations that would put her ability to use. Not many legal ones outside of the superhero community. The paranoia trait told her it would not be wise at this point to tell Mikel she could stop time.

"I'm not cut out for anything but SHIELD," she said firmly. "College is just for the degree because I need it to get into the training academy. I'm barely a people person. I'm not into computers or electronics. I like weapons and I hate bullies, villains and people who think it's okay not to come to a complete stop at a red light or take twelve items into the 10 items or less line. Hell, I can barely work in a team setting and I managed to piss off Thor's kids because one of them pointed a sword at me and I took exception to it."

	It seemed like the Colonel's brainwashing was complete. He had a feeling that she could do anything she wanted to do, she just went along with what the Colonel wanted her to do.
