The End is Nigh! (Dark Riders vs X-ers and Avengers)
"We interrupt this regularly scheduled program to bring you this breaking report. It seems like a giant, what can only be called a citadel, rose from the very ground itself and covered almost the entire area of Central Park just moments ago. The monstrosity seems to be composed completely out of stone and there are no discernible entrances. What appears to be people on flying robotic horses circle the citadel. Who built this and to what end has yet to be discovered."

Damn. She can't get a lock on Sylvie with her telepathy, nor can throw her off her it seems. Lyta continued to struggle, trying everything that she could think of, thrashing, kicking.

Sylvie just holds on, tries to breath. And then her lower arms, still gripping the wings nice and tight, just wrench

Lyta stopped struggling. She screamed out in pain. That hurt. She tried to focus enough to use her telepathy to pry into Sylvie's mind, but she just couldn't focus.

Sylvie, off key and doing her best to keep hold, started sing the obscure jingle 'Tensor said the tensor,' as loud as she could through clenched teeth and breathing heavily. It was an old joke, that no telepath could read one's mind with that stupid, stupid song stuck in one's head, because no one wants to hear it. Anything to keep her off balance so she couldn't hurt anyone else, because Sylvie couldn't twist any harder.

The loud off-key singing snapped Ryan out of his catatonic state. It took a few moments before he could register what going on. Seeing Sylvie struggling with Lyta up in the air, Ryan grabbed his truncheon started aiming it’s grappling cord at Lyta’s legs, but Ryan was having trouble focusing due to what Lyta had done to his head and would need some more time to get his aiming down before he launched.

She couldn't concentrate and she was losing altitude. Thrashing wasn't doing her much good, as she felt herself sinking slowly to the ground.

Sylvie just keeps the best wrenching grip she can on those wings. If they hit the ground hard, she's durable. If she dislocates something, she can apologize to the real Lyta later. One hopes.
