The End is Nigh! (Dark Riders vs X-ers and Avengers)
"We interrupt this regularly scheduled program to bring you this breaking report. It seems like a giant, what can only be called a citadel, rose from the very ground itself and covered almost the entire area of Central Park just moments ago. The monstrosity seems to be composed completely out of stone and there are no discernible entrances. What appears to be people on flying robotic horses circle the citadel. Who built this and to what end has yet to be discovered."

Apocalypse is gone and the Dark Riders that were still conscious fled now that there master was gone.

The streets were littered with debris from the battle and thankfully empty of citizens.

SHIELD transports were starting to land.

Adrenaline levels and utter fury at losing Nicholas Creed were still pumping high when Misha flew from the roof top down to the battle site to check on the others and see who needed help.

Sammy went to the first SHIELD transport to land in her area to briskly order the team to begin containment of the innocents infected by Needle.

Rachel breathed heavily, leaning against a near-by wall for support.

She'd tapped into the Phoenix Force. She might not even have been herself for a while.

And the worst part of it all?

She kind of liked it.

Having first overseen the transfer of his prisoner to a SHIELD paddy-wagon, Steve now worked to help any civilians who had been hurt or trapped during the struggle.

He'd been damned lucky today. A few well placed shots (and a couple of pounds of explosives) had made a lot of difference between a dead archer and not.
