Busy As Ever (open)
When Natasha retired from S.H.I.E.L.D. she thought she'd have to find things to do to keep her occupied, but it wasn't the case. She had been kept busy enough that she wasn't feeling antsy from sitting in one place for long. Between her family (having four kids and a husband still blew her mind) and the Avengers, Natasha was going nonstop.

Home life had fallen into a routine for a short while until the most recent shake up with Eliza showing up and school ending. Before those the routine was breakfast with the family in the morning, alone time or time at the mansion during the day while Tony was at work and the kids in school, dinner with Tony and the kids and then the evening hours spent catching up on information sent by her nephew. Now they had another person in the house and the kids were home during the day, making things seem a lot busier.

Avenger life had been busy as well. The appearance of Thor's four kids (all same age no less) created quite a stir and has made life more interesting around the mansion. Natasha, Steve and the other adults were trying to get them adjusted to life on Earth and Earth culture. It was a difficult task, though the Young Avengers seemed to be facilitating the process. The mansion was a little short on space and occasionally a temper flared.

The early evening hours found Natasha in the lower levels of the mansion going over the current security protocols and updating the database files with new information. She never minded doing this.

"No, and I admit. In that I'm really annoyed at Goldlocks for not leaving us mere mortals with the emergency phone numbers and other critical instructions." He grunts a little. "I mean, are they here to learn humility or are they here for a specific reason of doom?"

"Do I look like a telepath? For all we know it could be both reasons? They're not saying and you know how Asgardians are about prophecy and all that. It would have been nice of Thor or Sif to have given us a head's up and a manual on the care and feeding of Asgardian children."

She wrapped her arms around him and leaned against his chest. It had been a long few days. "Don't we have a compound out there not being used?"

"Yes, we do. Mostly it's my storage area for ideas Pym and I don't want in New York. It could be easily turned into a base."

"Are we going to LA? I could use a few days away from New York." It had been awhile since Natasha had been to Los Angeles. It had been her stomping grounds at one point and she missed it on occasion. "Or do we send our daughter since she has the base renovating bug lately." Yes, the hydrobase renovation didn't escape Natasha's notice.

"I could use some real Mexican food and a day at a warm beach for a change." He was completely and totally a New Yorker, but a few days in LA would be fun. He might even take her to Club 33. He retains his membership there just because no one expects him to actually do business there.

He smirks. "Why ruin a free garage cleaning? It's the God given right of all teenagers to think they are getting away with something. At least this something is useful to me."

"That sounds nice. Get them settled and then you and I disappear for a few days? You, me, no kids and we can do whatever we want?"

She kissed him and then smiled.

"We should probably take a trip out there to see what they've done with the place. It's good that they're developing some independence."

He pulls her into his lap. "Before or after LA?"

A slow smile. "Both? I have this incredibly sexy husband I can't seem to get enough of."

She smiled. "What are we waiting for? Let's go before one of them finds us or someone attacks."
