Guns, guns, guns... and hamburgers
A girl needs to eat. After that whole Weapon X thing went belly up, it took her a while to tap into Daddy's contacts to find a job, but Rose Red, whoever she is, pays awfully well. Right now Crosshairs is being paid awfully well to keep track of a meeting between some people working for the Kingpin. Dangerous business, but what does she care?
Sure, odds she'll get to play with her babies on this one are limited, but c'est la vie... that'll come once she proves herself on recon.

And hey, as long as she has to keep an eye out for a particular couple of thugs, she might as well wander across the street to some burger place. Big Nick's - smells good, but she doesn't know the place. Plenty of window seating, anyway. After all, now that she has a source of income, and needs to do stakeout duty anyway, a girl's gotta eat.

She's target practice right now and she knows it. While she keeps firing back, its hard to aim when you're being pelted with submachinegun fire. Particularly since she isn't actually invulnerable in any way, she just gets better from pretty damn near anything. Eventually, she falls under the hail of gunfire, but is pulling herself back up, holstering her empty auto-pistols and drawing her Colt Python as she regards her full-of-holes shirt.

"A for effort, apparently BBB for accuracy... damnit, my new girlfriend probably wanted first shot at those." she pouts, firing into the gang, making sure not to shoot 'Jane'.

Melissa wants to kill King so badly she can taste it. But Kelly wasn't supposed end up as Swiss cheese to facilitate that.

King would get off lucky tonight, but he couldn't escape her forever. She'd find him, and she'd kill him.

One of the hoods gets the drop on her, and feels two bullets hit her in the back. They don't go through her cape's enchantments, but they both feel as if someone just hit her the kidneys with a sledgehammer. She groans in pain, then turns and unloads on the guy.

As soon as their attackers are lying on the floor in pools of her own blood, Melissa limps her way back over to Kelly and removes her hood, looking at her.

"Good shooting, gorgeous. We need to go, though. I can already hear sirens."

	Kelly taps her head. "Follow me, my employer showed me all the ways in and out of here." she replies, pausing to check one of the dead suits, going through his pockets real quick. Looks like King had what she really wanted, but this will do for now. "Ok, got part of what I came for, and I've seen your boyfriend's face, I'll keep at it. You going to be ok?" 	She heads off into the back alleyway, then heads up the fire escapes to rooftop-to-rooftop it, giving 'Jane' a hand up here and there. "Good night? Not yet." she replies impishly. "But let me check with my boss. Because she might just like that kind of celebration and give us a fireworks budget. I could give a rat's ass one direction or the other about the Kingpin, but if I can blow up a pier and get paid for it, even better. I'll also check with the boss, have her check you out... after I'm done checking you out, of course, and see if she'd agree to putting you on the payroll. Beats stripping or waitressing, right?"

Her mother left her a ton of money, but getting paid to kill the Kingpin's people will make this even more worth while. "You talk to you boss about me and I'll make it worth your while."
