Panic in the Streets (Open to Street Types)
With the giant citadel that had appeared in Central Park and the vast majority of the city's super-heroes fighting against the being protecting it, it had left the streets largely watched.  Already, many fires had been set and looting was running rampant.

Abigail did not consider herself a super-hero by any means.  She was a private eye and sometimes bounty hunter who occasionally did things that could be considered vigilantism.  But her father had instilled in her a belief in the power of law and order.  And the power of civilization.  Out in the barely tamed west, people had to be able to rely on each other as a community, keep common decency, or fall into chaos.

This wasn't any of that.

She stopped in front of an electronics store, where three man were trying to juggle various high end and high priced devices.  Her hat was low over her face, obscuring it slightly, and her colts were in her holsters.

"I'd put those back if I were you," she said.

"You gonna make us?" one demanded.

"I reckon I might," she replied.

They found this funny.

Her guns had cleared the holsters and bullets had just missed taking their heads off before they could blink.  "Want to reconsider? she offered.

"Abigail Hawk," she told the Shroud. "Though I reckon if its this kind of business, you can call me the Two-Gun Kid."

She began moving to follow the Shroud.

“I’m Leo Hall,” he says to Shroud as they start running. Leo draws his gun to have it at the ready. This turning out to be quite the event though with whatever else was happening most people would probably never know what they were going to be doing which suited him just fine.

"Good to know. If either of you need connections with any existing hero teams, or a source of income for doing what you do, I'd love to talk to you when we're done. For now, business calls."

She launches herself ahead and upward, peering down from a fire escape at the growing conflict, some two blocks from where they stopped the robbery.

Technically, Abigail had some Avengers connections, only they didn't know that yet. As near as she'd been able to figure out, even though she'd met them several years back in her personal timeline, they hadn't yet met her. Time travel was a bigger headache than just about anything else.

Everything else though, all on her own (plus some funds left just in case she ever found her way to the future--good planning, Dad).

Her guns at the ready, she kept up a steady pace following.

Leo wasn’t all too worried about a job or money since despite his young age Leo was running his own business as private investigator which had been very successful. While not rich by any stretch of the imagination he did make enough money that he wasn’t too worried about funds most of the time.

As to the joining a superhero team, Leo felt that wasn’t for him for two reasons, one he didn’t consider himself a superhero, and two he liked his independence to much to join a team. Still he wasn’t about to turn down a good source or contacts either.

Leo kept pace with Abigail, and had his gun out ready to go if he needed it.

Talia leaps into the midst of the gangers, immediately taking down one of the toughs in front.

"Stand down and back off." she hisses, from a crouch.

Unfortunately, despite the show, there's still an awful lot of them. "Get 'er!" shouts one of the others.

Abigail arrived on the scene moments later, her Colts at the ready. "I wouldn't, if I was you," she said coldly.

Between the three heroes, the gangs back away from the guns, throwing up gang sign and acting tough, but not willing to challenge people with the drop on them.

"Thanks for the back up."

"No problem," Abigail said. She looked faintly disgusted. "Seems like tonight is bringing out the worst in folks."

“It’s how quickly some people go savage once they think they no longer have to worry about the law,” Leo says coldly, “and it was no trouble at all.”
