Cait opened her eyes to bright light and warmth. There was a moment of confusion, but she looked around and then she smiled. She knew this place. She was home at Xavier's.
She felt like she was waking from a really bad nightmare. Everything she did as Famine she remembered with crystal clarity. Guilt and remorse rested heavily on her. Logically she knew it wasn't her fault and she had been brainwashed, but she still felt responsible for her actions.
She sighed and stared up at the ceiling.
