Nick had been tossing the idea around in his brain for some time now and the recent events in New York had brought it back to the front of his mind. It was about time S.H.I.E.L.D. started taking a more active role in dealing with the powered set out there.

Nick had gone through some files and had selected a few candidates. Luckily some were already agents. Others he would have to go have a chat with.

"Get Sammy in here," he said over the intercom. "And round up agents Childress, Alice Dugan and Walker. I want to see them as well."

	Reclined in Nick's chair, Sammy watched a moment to see if Johnny would realize he was saluting another S.H.I.E.L.D. brat instead of her father. It was kind of interesting. She could definitely get used to it. "At ease, soldier." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Johnny dropped into an at ease position, but kept his expression carefully schooled. Fury's daughter. Definitely not someone he needed to get on the bad side of, not when she could go running to her father with any kind of complaint if she wanted to. "What's going on?" he asked. 	He could be forgiven this once for thinking she needed Daddy to fight her battles. Sammy didn't know Johnny, only by sight in passing. She didn't think they'd ever had a conversation of any sort. "Something like that. You saw the footage from the Central Park battle? S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn't currently have a team to handle situations against mutant or metahumans. He wants one in house to send into situations that require more than the average S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. Small team, easy in, easy out, no publicity required." Okay, that was a bit unfair, but the Avengers and X-Men were all over the news when they showed up somewhere.
