Nick had been tossing the idea around in his brain for some time now and the recent events in New York had brought it back to the front of his mind. It was about time S.H.I.E.L.D. started taking a more active role in dealing with the powered set out there.

Nick had gone through some files and had selected a few candidates. Luckily some were already agents. Others he would have to go have a chat with.

"Get Sammy in here," he said over the intercom. "And round up agents Childress, Alice Dugan and Walker. I want to see them as well."

"Considering he put Nightingale on a short list of people he wants for his new team, I think he's fine with it." She gave Qamar a reassuring smile. Dad didn't scare her, but he wouldn't be her dad if other people didn't step lightly around him on occasion.

"By the way, he's putting together a powered S.H.I.E.L.D. team for situations just like the one we had in Central Park. As the new team leader, I get to talk to the people he handpicked for it."

"S.H.I.E.L.D. handles visas for all their agents. There will be at least two other agents in advanced studies so that's not a problem as such. If this team is needed on a mission, you'll have to reschedule some classes. On the plus side, I can get you a great note to explain your absences."

Heck with being too professional. Sammy got up and moved around the desk to lean against the edge on his side. "S.H.I.E.L.D. has quite a few agents in school earning additional degrees, so working with the college isn't a problem."

"That depends on what you want. You'll spend a majority of your time here or at the directorate, but you might want to keep it to have a place away from work. Agents make good money and we'll be earning hazard pay for the missions when they come up."

"I'm going to be on reserves with the Young Avengers and will still have access to the mansion and hydrobase for times I'm not here. The hydrobase has plenty of living space and it's quiet." She smiled. "If my hovercar requisition comes through, getting back and forth won't be a problem."
