Wide Awake and Dreaming
Tessa was feeling lost. Weapon X, the only family and home she had known, was gone. The team had disbanded and Tessa was left on her own. She hadn't been sure what to do or where to go. She wandered a bit and eventually found herself in New York.

She wandered the city a bit and found herself outside an apartment building in the Upper East Side.

The place seemed familiar for some reason, but she couldn't place it. She felt like she had been here before, but she /knew/ she hadn't been here before. It was a weird feeling. If she only knew why.

	Tessa got up and cautiously crossed the room to the kitchen. "It disbanded. I don't know much outside of the location of the last base." They didn't tell her much. Only mission plans. "Thanks you," she said as she slid onto a barstool. "No, but I'll be fine." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Misha slid a plate, the bread and condiments in her direction before getting cheese and lunch meat. "If it's the same place my parents were found, it won't do me any good. S.H.I.E.L.D.'s already been through it."

He grabbed a carton of juice and a couple of glasses. "There's no reason for you to be on the streets. You'll be safe at Xavier's. Weapon X doesn't disband, they go underground and resurface later. Their history proves it."

Even to his own ears, his well intentioned ears, he sounded bossy and overbearing. It was just that he couldn't get past believing he'd killed her. Thanks to Weapon X trying to tinker with his brain, he'd tried to kill his mother and nearly committed suicide. The counseling had taken months. The nightmares still happened.

Right now he'd like to curl up with Lyta and forget for awhile. Except she had bigger issues dealing the aftereffects of Apocalypse. He couldn't put more on her.

"It's up to you," he said just as quietly. "You'll have a place to go when you're ready to make a real change."
