Another 365 Days Gone By
Natasha greeted her birthday like she spent every morning for the past few months, in the bathroom with morning sickness. Another few weeks and it should abate, but for now it was pure hell. She crawled back into bed and pulled the covers over her head for another hour or two before getting up for the day.

There was a beeline for coffee, two cups since it was her birthday after all, and a light breakfast. Afterward she caught up on email. There was an email from Fury wishing her a happy birthday and ones from the kids as well. Misha and Anya were off in Tahiti, James was in school and Eliza was in New Orleans. It was weird not having all of them around on her birthday, but right now she could use the quiet instead of the fuss. Tomorrow Misha and Anya would be home from their vacation and Natasha had made reservations for the family for dinner tomorrow night.

Today she was going to take it easy. Which of course meant a trip to the spa and some shopping. It was her gift to herself and a way to prepare herself for whatever surprise her husband was going to spring on her. Life with Tony was never dull. She showered and headed out for some pampering and some shopping.

	Natasha snorted. "I'm only young compared to Sersi." She lightly brushed his cheek with the back of her fingers. "I don't miss the vodka. I thought I would, but I don't. 	He laughs. "Glad someone is Hugh in this relationship." "Probably." He blinks. "Do you know how weird it is to be the Avenger Dad? Steve I could have seen. Thor? It was almost a requirement. Me? There's an understanding smile and look on her face. "I do. I don't think anyone would have made that bet. I think we all expected Steve to have the horde of kids and you to be Uncle Tony who spoils them all and then sends them home to Mom and Dad."

She kissed him lightly. "You say that now. Just wait until I'm being hormonal and trying to shoot you." She looked up and into his eyes. "You and Anya were always good for each other and you've done a wonderful job with her. I know I don't tell you that enough and I should tell you it more often. You're a great father, Anthony, and I'm so proud of the man you've become."

	"Talking Elmos that have AIs in them? That is evil." She dropped a kiss on a stubble covered jaw. "I can still aim better than you can duck," she pointed out. The Bartons are a long story. Young Steve probably does not remember the time his father tried to out-practical joke Tony. The contest was short and brutal and children were involved.

When she kisses his jawline, he takes her upper arms and locks a hard, long kiss on her lips - one she'll have to fight to get free of.

	Who said anything about any intention of wanting to get free? But she could pretend to resist for a bit like it was the first time he kissed her at Coney Island. No she couldn't. She was fooling herself. Natasha gave into the kiss and melted against him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
