Mason double-takes slightly. "Not that you need to worry about that. Mom already thinks you're smarter and nicer than me and Jordie. She thinks you're awesome."
A conversation-maintainer (since it's already started) occurs to Mason. "How are your parents dealing with your girlfriend? Hopefully they don't buy into the arranged courtship stuff too much?"
