Royal Wedding
The people of Russia were in a festive mood and they had reason to be. Their tsar, Tsar Mikhail Petrovich Romanov, was getting married to Duchess Tatyana Sergeyeva. The past few months had been spent planning and getting ready for this day. They were happy to see their tsar get married and would be even happier when the tsar and the tsarina had an heir. The newly restored Imperial family needed stability and the marriage today was the first step in providing that stability.

The wedding ceremony lasted over an hour in the Assumption Cathedral. Immediately after Mikhail and Tatyana were pronounced man and wife, Tatyana was crowned empress. The procession left the cathedral and the newly wed couple and newly crowned empress greeted the people from the Red Porch.

The royal family was given time to change and refresh themselves before heading to the Grand Kremlin Palace for the wedding banquet. Dinner was an elaborate affair and lasted for two hours.

After dinner the royal family and guests made their way to the grand ballroom for the ball. The royal family was introduced and then the tsar and tsarina entered. They danced the first dance together and then the royal family was invited to dance with their partners. The guests would be invited to dance in the next song.

James was in the required tux. Mom had gotten him a new one, despite his objections, a few weeks ago. Okay, so the other was a little short in the legs, but it would have been fine.

James was nervous. It wasn't because of the wedding or being out around so many people, but it was because this was his first formal event with Val and he didn't want to mess it up. He wasn't exactly the best dancer and what if he stepped on her toes or worse knocked her over? He'd never forgive himself.

He waited for Val and when he first saw her he was speechless. He couldn't even say hi. She looked so beautiful and was the prettiest girl in the the world after his mother of course. He stumbled over words and his siblings laughed of course. James suspected that he would be teased for a long time for being unable to speak to his girlfriend.

He was introduced as a duke when he entered the ballroom. Grand dukes and duchesses were the ones who were in line for succession to the throne. James was just an extra-dimensional family member and he was totally okay with that. He didn't want to be considered for the throne. At all.

There was a big smile on his face when he entered the room because he had the prettiest girl on his arm.

Valeria was enjoying herself. Being that it was the first royal wedding that she'd ever been to, she was a bit nervous about accidentally causing a scene and embarrassing James and his family, but Anya and Eliza had been extremely helpful in easing her worry, and had told her what to say and how to act in case she was approached by the tsar or someone of almost equal importance. So far though, everything was going great. Anya had even been nice enough to lend her the spare bedroom in her mini-suite.

Right now, though, she was going to enjoy herself with the handsomest guy in the room and try not to trip over her dress.

	"I think I'll be fine," Eliza says after a moment. She was wearing a pretty green dress. Nothing over the top really. Green was a favorite color for her when it came to dressing up. 	Irina's job as a Winter Guard member was security and that's what she did. She had been tasked to stay near the Tsar and Tsarina and if something happened to get them out of there as soon as possible. She was dressed in a simple grey dress. The object was to blend in and not stand out. (Reply to this)

	Akilah was dressed in a small, strapless, satin black dress. She was half enjoying herslef, only because she had the perfect company to keep with her. The other half of her was busy avoiding a collision with her parents, with whom she loathed the idea of introducing to Daniel. Or what it that she loathed the idea of introducting him to them?
