Nick Fury walked out of his office and stopped near his assistant's desk. "Get the team in the ready room in ten minutes." Then he kept walking out of the office.

At the first concussive blast, Sammy used force to pushed in the prisoners in the doorway. They fell to the transport floor. "Call S.H.I.E.L.D. Directorate and tell them we're under attack!" she yelled at the pilot and the few agents inside waiting for the transfer. "Take this crate up and give us room to move! Shoot anybody on board who so much as looks at you wrong!"

She didn't wait for an answer. She jumped back off and turned to face the next attacker.

	A shard hit Sammy in the upper right part of her chest just as she reached for a timeout. She went down, gun in hand, unable to keep her concentration with the sharp pain. Biting down on her lip and drawing blood, she rolled over to switch the gun to her left and shoot at Cady. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"You can try," Sammy called back from between clenched teeth. She was hit with more shards as she took another shot. A blast from the sky further distracted her. It hit the ground between them. More blasts hit the ground around the fallen agents. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Sammy had a horrible suspicion from the difficulty she had breathing that some of the shards had penetrated important areas of her chest. She fell back to the ground, defeated. The voices around her began to fade into black when a blur knelt beside her. The last thing she heard was the call for a stretcher and a medic. (Reply to this)(Parent)
