The blast stuns Eli in a way nothing ever has. He goes down, unable to focus for the brief moment he needs to teleport himself away from Thulsa Doom.
He can, however, focus long enough to shove Doom backward. It might not knock him away completely, but it could unbalance him enough to keep him from dodging Conan's incoming attack.
