Enough is Enough; it's time for change
It's been a week already, and Melissa can't take it anymore. It's just too much for anyone person to deal with.

The crying. The moping. The mood swings. The freaking out every time a certain DVD gets moved. She's starting to feel like her apartment is a funeral parlor, and she's really close to chucking a certain bowling ball out of the window. However, she knows this would upset her girlfriend, and Melissa is very cognizant of Kelly's feelings.

So this is why she's sure Kelly will be all over the idea she got this morning while watching <i>Saturday Night Live</i>.

She puts down her gun and turns to face Kelly's back while Kelly is cleaning her own weapons.

"Baby. We need to cheer your dad up, and I don't think a Golden Girls Marathon will do it."

We need to kidnap Betty White." Melissa demands.

	Kelly's emotions are mercurial. She can go from giddy to gloomy to pissed off over the course of a commercial, so being sensitive to her feelings is probably wise, if sometimes difficult.. "Well, if we're going to kidnap Betty White from the Apollo in the midst of personal and event security, and the crowd, we better scope it out first. Bring your spy camera, nothing you can't hide in the dress, shoes or a garter holster, make sure you'll pass metal detectors - then get sexied up. Let's call it a working date, catch a show at the Apollo and scope out the exits, security stations, the works. If we can find their camera stations and short one of them out, and you can provide a brief distraction, I'll sneak backstage and check out the star's dressing room. Call it a dry run to prep for the kidnapping on Tuesday... and an excuse to get you dressed up."

"Sounds good. I'll be ready to go in an hour." Melissa says, going over which weapons she can take. Metal is out, but she's got an old-school prison shiv her old man used to carry that will work for her garter.

She heads off to get showered up, then rummages through the closet for a nice black dress that she thinks Kelly will appreciate.

"Thank God I kept up my account at that spy store. This little baby is great for recon." she says, holding up a palm-sized square camera.

"Just aim and click, compensates for bad lighting, and flash optional."

Kelly spends a bit of time assembling her hard plastic pistols, adds a sap glove to her going-out purse, as well as a small wooden box containing padding and a pair of eggshell flash-bang grenades, just in case. She takes a time out from arming herself to spy on Mel in the shower, then finishes getting herself all ready to go.

"Excellent, you're responsible for pictures. We'll try and mostly catch the show - we only get so many date nights. But when I say I'm slipping off to the little girls' room, I need to to sidle up to the backstage security guys or pretend to lose a contact or something. Buy me five minutes and I'll scope out the back and draw up an in and out for us to nab Betty on Tuesday."

Tuesday night rolls around, and the Hood is in position in an alley across the street from the performers exit at the Apollo. She's got her black catsuit on under the cape and hood, just like Kelly asked. She's following Kelly's lead on how to take Miss White, keeping an eye on street traffic for the moment.

"Hood in position." she says, waiting for Crosshairs to confirm her location and readiness.
