Spring in Moscow
Natasha walked slowly through the elaborate gardens on the palace grounds. Her nephew Mikhail had wanted her to sit in on a meeting, but the day was too lovely to not be outside. The sun was a balmy 60 degrees. Natasha smiled as she inhaled the perfumed air and soaked up the warm sunlight. Bright flowers in bloom surrounded her and added to the tranquility of the gardens.

It was much better than sitting in on a meeting.

She had used her pregnancy as an excuse and told her nephew she wanted to nap for awhile. Jet lag and pregnancy not mixing well or something along those lines.

The beautiful setting of the gardens helped to take her mind off of Ivan. The old man's health was in decline and Natasha worried about him. He was in his nineties and still had a sharp mind, but time was catching up to him. His body was beginning to fail him and Natasha and Ivan both knew he didn't have much time left.

There was a tightness in Natasha's chest at the thought of losing Ivan. He had been with her for her entire life and she couldn't imagine life without him. Ivan had been her only family for many decades. He was the only father she had ever known. He was a grandfather to her children.

She was so enmeshed in her inner thoughts she almost didn't notice the small fluttering feeling in her abdomen.

Natasha stopped walking and concentrated. She couldn't have been imagining it. There. Another one. Natasha smiled. The baby was moving and she just felt it for the first time. She just wished Tony could have been here for this. Still smiling, Natasha started walking again.

"Yes, Misha, I'll be here with her. I've cleared my schedule so that I can stay with her. I don't want her alone any more than you do." Tony says.

"I'll keep a lid on this until after you've handled it and the baby is born. If all goes well, she can just be pissed off at us for keeping her out of the loop. I'd...like to ask you to do the same with Logan, or get him not to tell Tasha as well. We can all agree she doesn't need the added stress." Tony says.

"In the meantime, please keep me informed and let me know if you need anything. Call me directly. Don't go through the Stark satellite. I don't want Anya picking up on this by accident." Tony says.

Relief was a good feeling after all that happened. Planning helped. Even if it was a short term, get-through-the-next-few-days plan. "I'll agree to not telling Dad just yet. I don't want to worry him either. If he complains later, I'm telling him it was your idea. If it looks like they're about to make a move on Rose or David, it's off."

Cooling down also meant he was feeling the sweat glue the undersuit to his skin. "I'll spend the night so she won't get suspicious and see the rest of the family." He also needed food and sleep before he did anything else. "Probably best that it doesn't get out I was here since I didn't exactly go through customs with a passport."

"I'll agree to your terms and I'll take the heat from both Logan if it gets out early, and your mother when it comes out later." Tony says. Tasha would be pissed about being kept in the dark, but Tony was used to making executive decisions.

"Good idea. You don't need to be trying to fly back across the ocean tonight." he says.

Misha nodded again. "Thank you. I appreciate the help. I'll shower and then go see her and Grandpa Ivan."

"I appreciate the heads up, Misha. Thank you." Tony says.

If there's nothing else, Tony will leave Misha be and get to work on his own plan to keep Tasha safe and out of harm's way.
