A Land of Sun and Sand:
Egypt is not all uninhabited desert. Along the Nile, the land is lush. There are large cities, such as Cairo and Alexandria. There is much more to the land than simply yellow sand and pyramids.

This is not one of those places.

The sun is blisteringly hot, pounding down on the sandy earth. Stuck in the middle of nowhere, this pyramid is easy to overlook. It is not especially pursued by archeologists. It is not easily accessible to tourists. It is, in short, an excellent place for someone to hide out. One would practically need the coordinates of the site just to locate it.

Coordinates which are now in the hands of a small group of people investigating an evil cult...

	Shelly had used the coordinates and opened a portal, a portal she was careful to make sure was NOT tied to black magic. Anyone who wanted to travel that way was welcome. 	Well. This was unpleasant. Michelle was not limited to nocturnal activities, though she'd long switched to such since her... well, what she'd used to think of as an allergy had manifested. With goggles over his eyes, a bit of sunscreen on his nose, and a supply pack on his back, The Breaker steps out of the portal with the others and looks around. "Dibs on that sand dune," he declares, pointing in a random direction. Apparently just noticing the pyramid, he starts walking towards it.

"Is this the place? Yes, this is the place. Where else would it be? I wonder if there's a Crispy Creme inside..." he trails off, scanning about for the door.

Just as usual, Vinny wore his sunshades, although he had traded out his trench of a sleeveless shirt and his usual standard jeans. He was still dressed in all black though, his usual fare. he wasn't making any other consolations for Egypt - heat or not.

He stepped through the portal and grimaced at the heat before he started to light up a cigarette and took a few steps after Gene, blowing smoke towards the sky. "I'll be glad when we're out of this place." he said sourly. "I think I already got sand in my vagina."

	Matt still wore his black duster, having enchanted it to keep him cool in warm weather, and warm when it was cold. Even with the precaution, however, the heat was still annoying. He looks at Vinny after the man's comment and raises an eyebrow. "Classy." he says simply, looking around. "Let's find who we need to kick the crap out of and blow this taco stand." 	"Vinny you're not man enough for a vagina. And as for you," she looked at Matt, "we're kicking the crap out of anything. We'll handle it in a much more...effective fashion." She really didn't want to go home with broken limbs. Tan, yes. Broken things, no. "Is there an entrance to this thing that we can easily access?" Probably not but here was to hoping. It was taking Gene forever to suss out an acceptable entrance to the pyramid. Michelle was not doing the best in the heat and the sunlight and while Matt seemed perfectly cool in his dorky jacket, Vinny had moved on to helping Gene with the pyramid. Shelly realized that they were going to be here awhile. And that wasn't going to work for Michelle or for herself.

Sighing she started working on an incantation to provide cool and shade for herself and Michelle when suddenly she let out a painful cry and fell onto her knees in the sand.

"We have to get back to Chicago...now..." She panted.

Matt didn't like the sound of that one bit.

"All right, ladies and gents. The bus leaves the station in fifteen seconds. We're going to have to take a Way back to Chicago, so be on the lookout for extra-dimensional creatures that might want to eat you.

And don't let them." he says, concentrating his energy into his staff.

The moment it's ready, he traces a circle in the air, and seems to cut into reality itself, tearing open a Way.

"Okay, let's go." he says.

"The point of wards is to not take them down, Matt. Not to mention that I've rather got your back in a magical binding sense right now so you'd not get sliced to ribbons." Shelly frowned at him. "But they're down at the moment. Or rather, I haven't exactly had the opportunity to put them up in the first place. I haven't been in my new place that long."

Shelly gave Matt both the cross streets and the exact address and hoped he didn't drop them someplace completely weird.

	Lynch showed up at the door not long after Greg moderately armed for the situation. Matt had called her up and gave her a brief overview of what was going on.
