Gathering of Powers
Julian Howard has made the phone calls requesting the company of both Emma Frost and Roberto DaCosta in New Jersey tonight convenience to discuss matters of mutual importance. The meeting place is a renovated club he's just purchased that will reopen in four weeks under the name of The Violet Room. After long months of waiting, watching and planning, Julian is ready to begin moving in on his primary goal. All that was necessary now was to gather the necessary support to secure his victory. Every last one of the people he is dealing with is dangerous and a manipulator of the highest order. They've all been at this since before he was born, and continued up this point. Besides his own intellect, prestige and power, the only thing Julian can really count on is that he was taught this game of thrones by the only person with more experience than all of them.

The food and drink is hot and waiting, though he doubts they'll partake; still, effort must be made. When Emma and Roberto arrive, they are ushered in through what will be the V.I.P entrance and escorted across the expansive dance floor to. The meeting is here, rather than at X-Factor Tower or even the Popular Outcast because Julian wants to keep this business separate and secret from his other dealings. As they Julian rises and moves offers and comes around the table.

"Miss Frost, Mister DaCosta, thank you for taking the time to meet with me. Food and drink are available if you like, and I apologize for asking you to come out of town, but I'd like to keep prying eyes out of our business, so to speak. Please, take a moment for refreshment and have a seat. I'll begin when you're both ready." Julian says, gesturing at the onyx marble desk at the head of the room. A chair is provided for each of them, though Julian pulls one of them back a little further for Emma.

"Its an interesting proposal. I do have the international ties to buy a significant number of shares of Shaw's publically held, and thus more liquidatable resources. He has a lot of his money tied up in investments and the sentinel program... not that he thinks any of us know about that. If we move quickly, he won't have the liquid resources to keep up. But, a question, if I may. You say /our/ side, not your side. I trust that means that if we voted you in, you would be amenable to backing some of our proposals as well, provided both Miss Frost and I agreed on them?"

"Well, it would be rather rude of me to ask for your aid and offer nothing in return. That's how Shaw works; he tells you why you should do something for him, and infers that he might do something for you at a later date. If you'll vote me in, yes, I would be willing to work with you both on proposals you're interested in. I also have some ideas that you both may find intriguing." Julian offers.

"However, I'd like to be clear on something, in case I haven't already been: if I remove Shaw and his cronies, I will receive backing from both of you to become King of the Hellfire Club. I also will choose the next Black Queen. If we can work together, we'll have a strong bloc for advancing our agenda within the Club. And once we have Shaw Industries and its resources, I daresay the sky is the limit.

I have plans and goals that I think will intersect with those you two possess. However, Shaw becomes more firmly entrenched each day, and soon, he might decide to remove the rest of his opposition and elevate his own cronies in order to have complete control.

This isn't a viable future for any of us." Julian finishes.

"This is quite the tidy plan you have put together, Mr. Howard. And it does seem to be very solid and well-thought. You've clearly done some homework on this and I admit that it is refreshing to see someone as power-hungry as yourself come in having an actual plan rather than a lofty idea. Kudos. That being said..." Emma arched a brow. "I make no decision with such serious repercussions without a bit of thought. I need to weigh my own options, look at my own assets. I am very inclined to side with you, Mr. Howard, but I will give you my firm answer two days hence."

	"Two days should be enough time for me to get the rest of my plan in motion, Miss Frost. I'll call on you in two days for your answer. I hope I can count on your support. "I had come to a decision when I walked in. Emma is, I am willing to admit, better at this than I am. We've both survived in the hellfire club to date by backing one another, even when its difficult. I reward that kind of loyalty... if she elects to back you, I will as well. I will fly to Brazil tomorrow to make sure I have enough liquid assets ready if we go forward with this, and to keep myself away from Shaw's spies. Emma... when we have a decision, call me."

"I understand if you two need to be sure before going forward, so I'll talk to you both in two days. If we go forward together, I'll let you both know what I'll need for you for the plan to come together.

We'll all need to be present at the gathering for the final stroke against Sebastian, but with any luck, he won't be there to stop any of it. I won't keep the two of you any longer. I'm sure you both have things to put together before we meet again." Julian smiles.
