Two days in New York City
Jenny was happy to conveniently forgot her scheduled appointment with Dr. Samson, but leave it to Rob to have it on his calendar. The day before, she was notified that she would be collected at 6am and delivered to the S.H.I.E.L.D. transport for the New York run.

She tossed a few items into her shoulder bag along with a new book. She didn't need anymore than that as Rob had kept their leased apartment in New York. Between his monthly trips back to New York and her infrequent traveling, he said it was worth hanging onto it. Everything she might need was already there.

A note was posted on the refrigerator so the team would know she would be in the States for a couple of days. She also included a post script asking Leech to make sure Yankee Clipper was fed. She really hoped Quinn would continue to be tolerant and not turn YC into a fluffy orange and white throw pillow.

In New York, she had time to shower and change clothes before presenting herself at Dr. Samson's office promptly at 3pm. Each time she had one of these appointments she hoped it would be the last. Each time he said he would see her again in three months. At least this time she would have something different to contribute to the conversation.

"Oh, but I will counter with cheesecake and assorted baked goods, Miss Woolverton. Then you'll fall into my trap and have to answer questions like...what color are you underwear?

Of course, they'd be questions I didn't know the answer to already." he smirks.

"But pot roast, gravy and roasted vegetables will get several of your questions answered." he says, pretending to ponder.

	She laughed. "Mr. Walters, in good faith I'll offer you one answer without coercion - I'm not wearing any underwear. I think they're under a chair in the bedroom." She finished the last bite of her cheesecake and collected the plates to put in the dishwasher. 	A kitchen drawer yielded a pad of paper and an pen. Jenny drew fast circle with it in a corner to make sure it worked. "We have a collection in the living room on the a wall unit." The collection included all sorts of action and science fiction films, tv shows, and a decent selection of movies from the '30s and '40s. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	She moved over to see which one he selected, putting a hand on his arm. Sue her, he was so warm and the apartment still cool. The movie was one of her favorites. 	He reaches out to wrap an arm around her waist, pulling her closer as he looks at the rest of the movies. "You know, sometimes I wish I could have been around back then, to see these movies when they were brand new. Life was a lot more simple back then." he says idly before looking at Jenny. "No, it's not. But I don't know how much it'll fascinate you." Andy says.

"The markings brand me, and Titan, as exiles from Mount Olympus. We're not allowed to set foot on the mountain on pain of death. So, when I go home to Greece, I usually visit the temples of my aunts and uncles, such as they are these days." Andy says.

"I don't know why I'm exiled, before you ask. The sentence came down from my grandfather. That would be Zeus. He took one look at me when I was ten, and told Father that I was no longer welcome." Andy says, a bit sadly.

Andy will lift her gently, being careful of his strength, for her to kiss his him a little easier. Being that he's 6'4", her feet will leave the floor for a moment before he sets her down.

"Yeah, Zeus is a jerk, but he's also more terrifying than the books say. Clash of the Titans does not even get in the general area of how scary Zeus is." Andy says.

"But hey, I get along with my father, my brother, a few of my aunts and cousins, and my mother, so I never felt like I was missing much. What about you? Do you get along with your parents?" he asks.

	"My parents are dead. I was about thirteen, I think." On her feet again, she took the movie and nudged him toward the sofa. The home theater equipment was top of the line; even the old movie sounded good coming in low through the speakers in all four corners. "Rob said it was an accident. They were killed instantly." 	She went willingly, and reminded herself to call home and let the team know she wouldn't be home when expected. "As close as two siblings fifteen years apart. He's more like a father than a brother, but we're close. You wouldn't happen to have an older sister who's looking for a nice guy, would you? He reminds himself to call the Defenders later and let them know he'll probably back in L.A. pretty late when he gets in. "But there are lots of nice girls out there, I bet. "He does work a lot. Tells me every now and then he needs hazard pay to deal with me." She smiled and leaned her head against his shoulder. Her eyes strayed toward the large television screen to see Sam playing the piano in Rick's.

"I was in an accident a few years ago and lost my early memories. Rob worries I'll relapse or something. That's why I'm in New York now. I see Doctor Leonard Samson four times a year so he can ask me carefully worded questions and see if I'm remembering anything, or sleeping all right. Dating or making friends. It's been as hard on Rob as it was on me."

Andy sits up a bit when Jenny mentions Doc Samson.

"You see the Doc? Wow...I didn't know he was still at it." Andy says. "Doc Samson was a friend of my cousin Bruce and tried to help him out with his Other, the Hulk. Doc also helped my mother a lot with issues. She's the most integrated of all of us. There's not a lot difference between her and She-Hulk."

Andy watches the scene on the TV, playing with Jenny's fingers absently.

"How are things going for you? Are you remembering any more than before? You can at least tell him next time that you made a new friend." Andy smiles.

"He's still at it. Rob arranged it through S.H.I.E.L.D. I told him that if he reads the name of Andy Walters in the paper tomorrow, it was because the guy I met online was not as nice as he seemed." She gave him a look from beneath her lashes. "He laughed. I guess he recognized the name and made an educated guess."

"Surprisingly enough, things are good for me. I have a few memories, like making pot roast with Mom, but I don't worry about what I don't remember. I have pictures of my parents, and Rob answers any questions I have. When I listen to other people, I feel remarkably free of childhood issues. They died before I manifested, so they didn't have to deal with a mutant child. That was left to Rob."

Andy listens, nodding and playing with her hair as she speaks. "Well, now that you didn't bounce me off every building in New York, I suppose you'll just have to find other things to do with me. Rob will just have to wait for some poor sucker to end up on the front page." he grins.

"I wish I could say my childhood was issue free, but it's good that at least one of us didn't have real issues. My teenage years were crap, until my strength kicked in." he says.

	Jenny nearly purred. Until this moment she didn't realize she loved to have her hair stroked. It sent tingles down her spine. "You turned out pretty good, Mr. Walters. "That's the big question, isn't it?" Andy asks, laying back to think about the answer. Now he traces the curve of Jenny's spine, nothing the reaction of the hair stroking.

"I've got my bachelor's in criminal justice, and I'm considering law school. I've got a lead on a position out in California, but there could be issues if I end up helping the Defenders full-time. I'm not sure how that will work out." he says.

Between his parents separate fortunes, Andy technically never had to work a day in his life if he didn't want to, but he wanted something to call his own someday.

"However, I could stand to get waylaid by a particular stranger a little more often from this point on, if she's amenable to such things. Besides, I need to watch every movie in your collection at some point, so I think we'll see a bit more of each other." he smiles.
