Two days in New York City
Jenny was happy to conveniently forgot her scheduled appointment with Dr. Samson, but leave it to Rob to have it on his calendar. The day before, she was notified that she would be collected at 6am and delivered to the S.H.I.E.L.D. transport for the New York run.

She tossed a few items into her shoulder bag along with a new book. She didn't need anymore than that as Rob had kept their leased apartment in New York. Between his monthly trips back to New York and her infrequent traveling, he said it was worth hanging onto it. Everything she might need was already there.

A note was posted on the refrigerator so the team would know she would be in the States for a couple of days. She also included a post script asking Leech to make sure Yankee Clipper was fed. She really hoped Quinn would continue to be tolerant and not turn YC into a fluffy orange and white throw pillow.

In New York, she had time to shower and change clothes before presenting herself at Dr. Samson's office promptly at 3pm. Each time she had one of these appointments she hoped it would be the last. Each time he said he would see her again in three months. At least this time she would have something different to contribute to the conversation.

The likelihood that she could ever eat cheesecake without going up in flames from the memory of him and what he did to her was so remote she didn't want to consider it. Andy and cheesecake would be linked in her mind for as long as she had the memory.

"Excalibur should've gotten you first before the Defenders. I wouldn't mind seeing you in your boxers every morning in the kitchen. Especially when I've watched you put them on to leave the room."

"Am I?" Jenny rubbed her cheek against his. The question didn't quite register for several seconds.

It did and she pulled back a bit with a bemused smile. "Your girlfriend," she said, testing the sound of the words. Had they meshed so quickly and thoroughly in just a few days? Making plans for the future said they had. She liked him enough to try just about anything with him. She was half in love already.

Whoa. That thought made her sit up and put a hand against his chest and really look at him.

"I...think so. It feels like I am."

"I can't really tell you what he was like when I was younger. All I know is that we were pretty close after our parents were killed." She said it with the blankness of someone relaying information instead of recalling the memory.

"He's just there. I think he has me tagged because he always seems to know where I am and where I've been. He used to treat me like I was one of his missions that required daily status reports. It was a relief when we moved to London and he relaxed. Relaxed in that my cell phone has only fifteen messages on it from him and not three dozen."

Andy turns a little pink at Jenny calling him her boyfriend. He's never heard those words from a girl, regarding him, but they sound great coming from her. He kisses her hands and smiles.

"Mom and Wyatt, my step-dad, would love to meet you. Dad is a little hard to track down at times, but he'll definitely want to meet you." Andy grins.

"I think you'll get a kick out of Argo, too. He's impossible to not get along with, and he has some of the craziest ideas at times." Andy says.

His expression changes a bit at the mention of Titan, but he nods. "And yeah, you'll get to meet Titan. That's going to have to happen sooner rather than later." Andy says.
