What birthday?
The morning of Jack's 21st birthday found him deeply asleep with his head under the pillow. He'd completely forgotten his birthday was coming. So much was happening that it was just another day on the calendar.

Elektra would not let her son's birthday pass unnoticed or not celebrated. Twenty first birthdays only came once. She talked to her husband and the two of them decided that a trip to New York was required.

She had mixed feelings about meeting Matt's dimensionally displaced daughter, but she'd do her best to make the girl feel welcomed. Family was family even if it was family from another dimension.

Elektra gave her husband a small smile and then knocked on the door to her son's apartment.

	He was going to ignore the knocking because it couldn't be anybody he wanted to see. It was way too early for anybody to be knocking. But he managed to get up and shuffle to the door in his boxers. "Kind of hard to forget, I just didn't expect to see you here." He hugged Mom and kissed her cheek in return. People said his mother was cold and aloof; he supposed that she had to be in her former life. His mother was reserved, even stern and intense when she was training her students, but always loving. Her number one student did his best to make her proud. "If you'd told me, I would've been awake and had the coffee going."

Speaking of the other worldly girl someone is coming up the stair well with a bag filled with fresh foods. Ready to be cooked. She peered around and gave them a small friendly wave.

"Hey Jack." It took her a moment to realize who else was here. She's been pretty much trailing between tired and awake since the car bombing. "Um...Hi Dad. Hi Mrs Murdock. I brought food to make for breakfast? I thought you'd like that."

	Yeah, caught in his boxers in the hall with his family. The only things left to make this a Hallmark moment would be his girlfriend in his bed, and Eliza bringing the other side of her family. 	"Eggs, different cheeses, some bacon, breakfast sausage, spinach, mushrooms...Pretty much fixings for omelets. I wasn't sure what Jack liked so I got a little bit of everything. Eliza blinked then tried to find the right words. "Right now poorly. What with the,...thing. It put looking at schools on hold until Mom woke up. Now I'm thinking home school might be the best.There have been outside problems and I'd love the freedom to be able to stand by my whole family when they need me there. Public or private schools might not be so accommodating."
