Angels and Devils (aka Brothers and Sisters)
Braddock LeBeau had only been at Xavier's for a few days, but between all the kids, the warning from his old man (who really had no sense of adventure), and the general boredom he felt at Xavier's, he needed an out.

Maybe New Orleans was fun in this dimension.

He and Gambit (why was he still using that silly codename anyway?) didn't see eye to eye on a lot of stuff, so Brad made arrangement to borrow a car in the garage to use for his trip. He didn't have any gear, so he was on his way out the front door when he ran into the last thing he expected to see.

An angel.

"So, I'm guessin' you're here to take me to heaven for all my sins. Right?" he asks, throwing the woman his best smile.

"Well, I don't intend to be here long, Lyta, so if you don't feel like tellin' your mother about me, I understand. Wouldn't want to upset the apple cart, so to speak." Brad says.

"I would like to learn a bit more about you, though. I'm an only child, too, until now." he says.

"It's entirely up to you if you want to get in touch with Mom or not. We don't really talk much, but we do talk. Different dimension or not, she's your Mom, too."

She smiled. "I'm an only child. Or I used to be. I discovered that I had an older brother on Dad's side back in December. But I'd like to get to know my other brother."

"You're very kind, Lyta. I doubt she'd like what I tell of her other self. She might decide I'm a lost cause." Brad laughs.

"Well, I'm an open book. You can ask me anything and I'll tell you the truth."
