Where do we go from here?
A few nights after their date, allowing for both of them to get their lives on track and such, Avery calls Sydney to invite her to dinner at his place. He keeps the affair simple, with some wine and Thai Food ordered in from her favorite restaurant, and waits for her to arrive.

He's really trying to make this less about their time from the other night and more about settling into a dating rhythm. They have a lot of other things to talk about as well, so he doesn't want to make things awkward for her.

He's wearing a blue polo shirt, blue jeans and brown boots, and praying he's not under-dressed for a casual meeting. Of course, Sydney could show up in a bathrobe and she'd look amazing, but that's beside the point.

He really tries to push the image of Sydney in a bathrobe out of his mind as he waits.

	Syd blushed. "Well I really don't have a curfew," she said. "Sarah made it quite clear that she was okay with watching Zoey until tomorrow morning." There was more red touching Syd's cheeks. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"You know, I'm going to remember to do something extra nice for Sarah some evening. I mean, not that I lured you here to spend the night, but..." Avery kisses her shoulder, "...I wouldn't mind at all if you wanted to. I mean, we'd have to find a way to pass the evening and all, but we're two smart people." Avery says, kissing up toward her cheek.

"I'm sure we could think of something to do." he says, taking another bite of his food.

"Oh no. That was just my way of telling you I didn't lure you here to spend the night, but I don't mind if you would.

Will you spend the night with me, Sydney Ashcroft?" he asks.

"That's my way of asking you to spend the night with me." he whispers, then grins.

"In fact, if you want to go get comfortable, I could even serenade you." he says. "If you really want me to, I'll go outside under the window and do it...thought it'll probably piss off the neighbors."

He laughs.

	"Yep, and that's the end of dinner." he says, kissing her in return. He stands up and takes her hand to lead her out of the kitchen. "I would say life doesn't get better than this, but you'll be next to me tomorrow, so I'd be lying if I did." he smiles. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
