Open to Avengers
Akilah had done very little to associate with anyone for the past two months.  She had Daniel and other encounters with the rest of her teammates.  She had mostly locked herself away in her room or the gym to train her body and her magic.  But right now?  Right now, Akilah was finding herself glued to the television for the first time since joining the Avengers.  She was watching an America's Next Top Model marathon with the intensity of a heated battle.

"Has Tyra blown a gasket at anyone yet?" Luna said, walking into the room, a mug of steaming hot tea in her hand. She smiled at Akilah. She had seen the other girl around, but had never really gotten a chance to talk to her. "I watched a little bit of this season. It's good. Though I'm partial to Project Runaway."

"Yes, she has. To a very proud girl." Akilah knew of Luna. They were not friends, nor had they worked together on a mission. But Akilah liked knowing who was on the Avengers at all times. "I have not seen Project Runway yet. This show has me very attentive."

"It's a good show," Luna said, "One of the few reality shows that I'll watch, actually. I've never really been into reality t.v. Most of it's too overrated for my taste." She didn't have a high opinion of America's Next Top Model, but she didn't want to start an argument with her teammate over something stupid like a television show. Luna took a sip of her tea.

"I'm Luna Maximoff, by the way," she said with a smile. "We've never really been properly introduced."

"I am Akilah Munroe," she replied. There wasn't really a smile in there, since her attention was mostly on the television. But the show was ending, and she had enough waning attention to spare for Luna. "It is... nice to meet you formally."

Daniel got along with their teammates. Akilah should at least try.

"It's very nice to meet you, Akilah," Luna said. "Are you enjoying your time on the Avengers so far? I've heard that you're from Wakanda." Yes, she was aware that Akilah was royalty, but the title didn't seem necessary right now.

It was always a wonder to Akilah why foreigners insisted on making conversation while others were preoccupied. A moment of silence and the muting of the television might have given off Akilah's feelings about this chat, but she managed a warm-ish response.

"I have enjoyed the opportunity to access the Avenger's library and spend time with significant individuals, yes." But she did not enjoy the string of kidnappings and her uncanny ability to be locked away with other matters when she could have been helping. "You have heard correctly. I am the Princess of Wakanda and liaison between my country and yours."

Clearly Akilah, wanted to finish watching her show. While America's Next Top Model wasn't her favorite show, there was something about it that was strangely addicting. Damn reality shows.

Akilah sat quietly while the show ended, and then she looked at Luna. The girl must have really wanted to talk to her. That was fine, and Akilah didn't mind now that her show was over.

So she waited for Luna to speak. She had something more to say, right?

"I didn't wish to interrupt your show," Luna said with a small smile when it was over. "You seemed a little annoyed that I was taking your interest by trying to start a conversation."
