Happy Birthday To Both of You!
It was hard to believe Anya and James were turning eighteen. It felt like yesterday that she had just delivered Anya and was holding a small bundle with a tuft of red hair. Kids grew up way too fast.

It wasn't surprising that Anya didn't plan anything and James said he didn't want a fuss. Anya had finals on Monday and Tuesday and needed to study. Natasha never had to worry about Anya and school. Except for of course the times she got expelled. The kids also had significant others they would want to spend time with. Which meant an adjustment had to be made to the celebrations.

Natasha opted for lunch with Tony and all of the kids as their birthday celebrations. This way they all had the evening free to do something with their significant others if they choose to and didn't need to spend it with the old folks.

As for gifts...well the kids could be impossible to shop for, but Natasha went with withe tried and true things. James got new clothes and a new gaming system from her. For Anya Natasha went with a promise for a shopping trip in the near future for new fall clothes.

Getting a gift for somebody who had everything she ever wanted was always tough, but Misha managed every year to pull through and find something that might make Brat smile or threaten eternal hatred. Bonus points when he could do both.

This year he found something he would swear she didn't have, a pair of killer bunny slippers. He thought they brought out the fiend in her soul.

James didn't get away unscathed. What was good for a laugh with one was equally good for the other. He would get gorilla slippers. He bet James had never seen anything like them. They would only make him sexier to his girlfriend.

"Thanks, Dork," Anya grinned and hugged him. "I definitely have to wear them when I watch Monty Python."

For the other Brother Dork she got him a trip to Graceland for two for a weekend. The Dork was an Elvis nut.

James was perplexed at the gift of gorilla slippers, but it was a gift from his brother. He could wear them in the winter when his feet were always cold.

"Thanks," he said to Misha with a smile. "I just have to keep Val from stealing them."

Doubtless, Anya would be in New York the whole day, but when she came back, she'd have a newly built alarm clock waiting for her. One she'd find very hard to turn off.

For James, a Gamestop gift card.

Val made her way over to the mansion.

She'd gotten a gift card to Bloomingdale's for Anya.

For James, she'd gotten him a couple of vinyl Elvis records. He wouldn't be able to play them, but he'd really like them.

She also got him a couple of Elvis cds to make up for this.

Val got a deep kiss. Tomorrow morning he would talk to Tony about setting some thing up to listen to the records on. Val also got asked to go to Graceland with him.
