Getaway
It had taken some time and a lot of hints and suggestions, but Natasha had finally convinced Tony to take a few days off and go somewhere else. Natasha was getting cabin fever and had to get out of the penthouse for a little while. She would shoot someone if she didn't get a change of scenery and she would need her husband around after the baby came.

It was nice on Martha's Vineyard this time of the year and it was close enough to New York that if something happened they could get home easily enough. The yacht was nice, but Natasha wanted dry land under her feet and places to shop. She loved the small quaint shops on the Vineyard and she would convince her husband to take her shopping.

They got settled in at Tony's house on the Vineyard after a four hour drive (and many stops to use the bathroom) and a short ferry ride over to the island. As soon as they were settled, Natasha went to find her husband to see if he wanted to go for a bite to eat. Someone was demanding french fries.

	Tony mentally commends himself on his stealth abilities and silently pays for the ring and slips it in his coat pocket. When done, he returns to his wife, kissing her on the shoulder. "If it's in Russian, you should buy it and read it to me." he suggests. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Hey, now, wait a minute." Tony says as they walk to the door.

"You stole me from my wife, and now you're just giving me /back/? First of all, I feel used. Secondly, you can't just /give me back/. I mean, you should at least challenge her for the right to keep me. There should be an epic battle with car chases, a shootout, and possibly a make-out scene between the two of you." Tony says, feeling that such is the least of his worth.

"Okay, you and the wife can at least have a catfight and argue over whose feet I'm rubbing first." Tony says.

"I'd punch out your husband for you." he grins.

	"Oh, I don't know. She keeps a gun in easy reach and threatens to shoot me regularly, and that was before I got her all knocked up. She alternates between wanting to shoot me and wanting back-rubs. 	Tony likes this idea already and smiles. "Bed, it is." he says, helping her to their bedroom. As soon as she is comfortable on the bed, Tony will remove her shoes for her and set them aside. 	"Actually, it's more of a surprise." Tony grins, using the dreaded S-word. He knows she hates surprises, but he can't help ribbing her over it, even if it's one he's sure she'll like. He pulls the ring box out of his coat pocket and hands it over to her, then returns to working on her feet, leaning down to kiss her ankles. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"You spoil me, Mr. Stark," she said with a smile and slipped the ring on a finger. "Better not let your wife find out."

Though she hate surprises, she could let this one go since his hands were doing a wonderful job on her feet.

The young Stark inside of her decided Mom was way to content and comfortable and started a fresh bout of vigorous kicking.

Natasha groaned and put a hand on her stomach.

	The foot massage stops immediately. "Honey, what's wrong? Is it Eddie?" Tony asks, worry coloring his tone. He places his own hand on Tasha's stomach, feeling the kicking. Probably not the thing to say to your pregnant wife, at least, not right away. Tony takes the smacking with the pillow with amusement.

"Eddie, perhaps it's time to settle down, buddy. You got French fries, some exercise, and now it's time to let Mommy relax, buddy." Tony says, kissing Tasha's tummy.

He takes a kick to the lips for his troubles.

"Well, that wasn't very nice, Eddie. I hope you're over this kicking thing when you get here." he says.

"Now that's just mean-spirited, wife of mine! Encouraging our son to kick people before he's even in school. When they call home wanting a conference, you're going." Tony says, shaking his finger at her.

"Look, I'd gladly help you out some if I could, honey, but men weren't given the equipment to carry babies. So, I'll pass and just hope that Eddie stops kicking you soon. Maybe some ice cream will calm him down?" Tony suggests.

"I'm tired," she said. Pregnancies took a lot out of her, but this one seemed to be harder on her than her other two. She was older and she was always high-risk when it came to a pregnancy. Of course there was always the getting up at least five times a night to use the bathroom and get a snack which helped contribute to her lack of energy. "I think I just want to get some sleep."

	It made Tony sad to see her so tired, knowing how vibrant and full of energy she was used to being. Just a couple of months left and she'd be ready to get back to work. "Okay, honey.
