A Date Interrupted
Marrina and Mason were just leaving the movie, having just seen Scott Pilgrim vs the World, staring Canada's favorite son, Michael Cera.   It had been a pretty good movie, overall, though the fight scenes were a bit over the top.  Giving the super-villain battles they'd been in, it was hard to find them realistic, even with the over the top attitude of everything else.

"You know," Marrina told him, as she took his hand, "Michael Cera kinda reminds me of you."

She shook her head, even as she returned the hug. "You might get attacked there. I don't want you playing without the home field advantage."

He smiles at her and kisses her cheek, before murmuring in a grim voice in her ear. "I'm Mason Jeffries; and I can breathe on land."

He hugs her again. "I will. By the way... the thing I was going to say when the creep showed up. How about you and I go away for a weekend somewhere?" He pauses.

"After we're sure no-one is trying to kill me, at least for a while."
