Grace had been busy since school had started. She was only taking her gen eds at the local community college, but she was up to her eyeballs in schoolwork. She'd also gotten a job at a local boutique downtown. She could really own work weekends and some nights, but she didn't want to leech off of Dad and the rest of the Defenders. It wasn't going to get her rich, but it would give her some spending money.

The local Starbucks down the street from her school had become her best friend, as Grace was basically living off of coffee these days. The concept of eight hours of sleep had been thrown out the window at the start of the school year, as Grace found herself up until the early hours of the morning, buried in a school book.

Today, however, Grace only had two classes, both in the morning, and she had the day off from work. She'd changed into her bikini the second she got back to Defender's compound, and made her way to the beach. She laid out her towel, before running straight to the water for a much needed swim.

"Yes," Grace said.

The walk there was quick, and shortly, they arrived at the bistro. A waitress lead them to their seats and gave them menus.

"They have some really good food here," Grace said.

“Any suggestions,” Eiltin said looking at the menu. He would prefer not to admin it but he was having trouble reading the menu or figuring out what the stuff he could read was.

"The roast beef sandwich is pretty good," Grace said. "The Ceasar salad isn't bad, either."

“I guess I’ll try the roast beef sandwich then,” Eiltin said still looking at the menu. Eiltin was definitely more of a carnivore than an herbivore.

"It's good," Grace said, "I think it comes with onion rings."

“Not sure what those are but, I’ll try them,” Eiltin said.

"Greasy, fried, onion goodness," Grace said with a grin. "You'll love them."

“If you say so,” Eiltin said with a grin, “What are you getting?”

"I know so," Grace said.

"Lobster bisque," she said. "It's a kind of soup. I'll probably have a small salad too."

The waitress came and took their orders. As the bistro wasn't that busy, they got their food fairly quickly.

"How's your dinner?" Grace asked.

“It’s good,” Eiltin said. He still missed his food from Avalon but he had gotten used to the smaller portions. The only thing he really missed now was stag but he wasn’t complaining.

“How was your meal?”

"Good," Grace said as she finished her food. "Did you want to order dessert or something? Or just wait until we got to the movies to have snacks?"

“I’m good with whatever you want to do,” Eiltin said who could probably he both and still have room to spare.

"Waiting until we get to the movies is probably our best bet," Grace said. "That way we have some room."

“Sounds fine to me,” Eiltin said, “Just let me know when you’re ready to head out.”
