Hand Over the Alien
It started out as a normal day in Southern California, but it didn't stay normal. A convoy of tanks and military transports rolled down Palos Verdes Drive and stopped outside of 1800. They spread out along the road in front of the main building of the compound.

General Stihl climbed out of the transport and four heavily armed soldiers flanked him. He walked up to the gate and pressed the buzzer.

	Andy stayed to help clean up the kitchen and speak to Sydney, as it was still concerned about Zoey. "Hey, Sydney...do you think Zoey's going to be okay about George? Syd appreciated the help with the cleaning up as she always did.

"Zoey will be fine," she said. "Kids are pretty resilient about things, but I think I'm going to make the next few days a little more special for her. It's hard losing friends."

Sydney shrugged. "I don't know. I hope they do, but I'm not going to hold my breath." She smiled. "We know where Area 51 is. We could always pay George a visit."

	"Both Titan and I are up for that if and when necessary." Andy smiles. "Zoey's a great kid, and you're right. It's rough losing friends, no matter your age." He straightens the chairs as they talk. "Thanks," she said with a smile. The team was great when it came to Zoey and Syd appreciated it.

"He's been busy with work," Syd said. "Between his work and my work for Stark Inc and school, we haven't seen much of each other except when we pass off Zoey."

"I was quite impressed with you when dealing with the General," she said as she tossed the dishrag into the sink.

"Thank you, Sydney. I just wish I'd been of more help at the time. I minored in Corporate Law but I got my Bachelor's in Business Management. If we'd had more warning, I would have called my mother to try for an injunction or something. I still can't believe they came here and were willing to bust down the doors to take George." Andy says irritably.

If Zoey had been hurt, even accidentally, there would have been almost no stopping Titan. He really cared for Zoey.

"Now, I've got to find a way to start putting my degree to use. No offense to the Defenders, but...I can't let fighting bad guys be all that my life is about. My mom made it work with her career and being an hero. I think I can do the same." Andy says.

Andy is a little shocked at having such a great opportunity seemingly fall into his lap. He knew about his dad's stake in Scion, but he'd never asked for a job directly because he didn't want his father thinking he couldn't earn his own way.

But this is exactly what he'd studied to do in school...and no one else had hired him thus far. It would crazy for him to pass this up.

"Okay, Sydney. I'd love to come and help you out. You show me what needs doing and I'll make it happen. Maybe you'll even get to take a vacation, though I've heard you don't know what those are." he jokes.

But a steady income would prove to both of my parents that I'm not a kid anymore and that I can take care of myself...and Titan." Andy says. "Seriously, you should schedule a vacation. "Scion pays quite well," she said with a smile. Thanks to her job with the Defenders and Scion Syd would never have to worry about having enough money ever again. She already had enough for Zoey's college education put away and not to be touched until Zoey went to college. The next thing would be buying a house somewhere for life after the Defenders' team mom.

"I'll think about it. Zoey's in school now, so I have to work it around that." She smiled. "And possibly Avery's schedule."

"Money is always good, but I should ask about the vacation time myself. Going across the pond to visit my significant other is pretty important, too." he says. Various circumstances had kept him and Jenny from seeing each other recently, but her e-mails were a life-saver...even if they sounded like the rantings of madwoman.

"Hey Syd, just because I'm curious...the Defenders have never pissed off any leprechauns, have we?" he asks.

	"One of the perks of being one of two employees, having Stark Inc on the other side of the country and really only have to sit in on board meetings now and then. "Wow. This job is going to be a lot easier to do than I thought. We don't happen to have a spare office in this place, do we? I could get a ton of work done once I got some items set up." Andy says, thinking over a list of what he'd need in his head.

"But I'm ready for anything, Sydney. You said you get to sit in on Stark Inc. Board Meetings? How are those? Mr. Stark must be a riot to listen to." he says.
