Stopping By
Gretchen had called ahead to let Rose and Anastasia and Mina -- and the rest of Xavier's, for that matter, she supposed -- know that they were hoping to come up. It was a long trip, and she as glad to get there.

Place was still very Uncanny Valley, though. Just familiar enough to be uncomfortable.

Gretchen looks and smiles. "It's beautiful!"

She looks at Anastasia, then back at Rose. "Merely as a point of information, and not because I think bridesmaids' dresses are at all necessary yet, I look good in anything but pink, and Anastasia looks good in pretty much anything."

"How do I put this without gettin' hit by one of the beautiful women in this room...?" Brad says, looking for a safe way to agree with Gretchen.

Then he finds one.

"What Gretchen said...minus the bit about dresses. I don't have the legs to pull 'em off." he grins.
