Hope For the Best, Prepare For The Worst (open to family)
Natasha sat down on the couch and opened the sealed manila envelope the courier had just delivered. She knew what it was, it was an updated copy of her will, but she wanted to check it over for errors. Jen had been great about doing this on such short notice, but Natasha didn't have too much longer before the baby would come.

It wasn't that Natasha thought that something would happen to her during childbirth, but she was going to be prepared. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. She lived her life by that thought. It had helped keep her alive this long.

Natasha read the document, noting all the assets that were listed and who they were slated to go to just in case something did happen to her. Sure she was married to one of the richest men on the planet, but Natasha had a considerate amount of wealth in her own right. There was money in numerous bank accounts across the world in her different aliases. Collecting all of that information and remembering what was where and under what name had been a chore and a half, but it had given her something to keep her occupied while Tony worked. In the end she got it all organized and had drafted up a new will.

The kids of course would get the lion's share of her estate. It would be divided evenly between Misha, Anya, Eliza, James and the baby. There was even a small part set aside for Stevie, her step-daughter, if the girl remained in this dimension. Tony of course would get her physical assets to do with what he saw fit. She still had a few safe houses in the US and a few in other countries. She hadn't sold all of them when she sold the majority of them last year for Tony's birthday present. There were also a few cars and her personal items.

She continued to look for any errors as she read the document.

"Smart woman." Tony chuckles, kissing her, then kissing her belly.

"Not like you're going to let Mommy relax much for the next month, are you, Buddy? I can't wait see if you kick as much outside the womb as you do inside." Tony smiles.

"I am totally okay with him kicking outside as long as he is kicking you," Tasha said sagely. "And just remember that if you're going to pee when you're being changed, do make sure you do it to Dad here. While he's talking about 'zero point energy' with Reed."

"Eddie, pregnancy is eating your mother's brain. She's delirious and doesn't know half of what she's saying. Especially about Zero-Point Energy." Tony says.

"You will pee only in appropriate places and on appropriate people, like accountants, S.H.I.E.L.D Agents, actors and people who like the Boston Red Sox. In fact, when he gets back, we're going to introduce you to your sister's boyfriend Steve." Tony says.

"You may also kick him like you kicked Mommy and me until he renounces Boston. Deal? Deal." Tony says.

"Nick, you will not be peeing on or kicking your sister's boyfriend," she said and patted her belly. "Please. Anya will make your life a living hell if you do. Pee on and kick your big brothers if you need someone other than your father to do it to."

"You will, however, make mommy chase you a lot. She can handle it. You'll walk every where for Dad, because he's an old man." Tony says.

"No, you won't," she said. "Your mother is older than your father. Much older. So make sure you walk for Mom and run for Dad."

"But Mommy doesn't look a day over twenty-five. Dad looks like he's in his fifties. So, walk for Dad, walk quickly for Mom." Tony counters.

"But you're still as handsome and sexy as ever, Mr. Stark." she said and kissed his cheek. "I'm a lucky woman to have you."

"Well, as long as you say so, Tasha, I'll forgive People if they don't vote me 'Sexiest Man Alive'.

I already won the only vote that matters." he smiles.

"So, I've been working on some toys for Eddie to play with when he gets here. I think he'll really like them." Tony tells her.

"Do I dare ask?" she asked giving her husband a suspicious look. It wasn't being paranoid when Tony said he was working on something. She remembered all too clearly the stuff he came up with when Anya was a baby and toddler.

"I promise it's nothing crazy. In fact, I think Eddie will really like it. It's going to be something that tells him a little bit about his whole family." Tony says.

"By the way, you'll need to record a picture message of sorts for it. I'm going to create a child's toy that anyone can use."

"Wouldn't it be easier to just record one of the family dinners?" she asked with a grin. "They would give him a better idea of what the family is really like."

"It's a great idea, Tony," she told him. "I will do it. And I should have know this would turn into the next Stark Inc kid product." She kissed his cheek. "It will be a hit."

"We should record one of the family dinners for posterity anyway," Natasha said.

Her eyes narrowed. "What is it exactly?"

"Record it and send it to 'America's Funniest Home Videos'. Watch Misha's and Anya's faces when the footage of them acting like kids gets on television.

You know, we could do a reality show. 'Life with the Starks'." Tony smiles. "There would even be a segment where I try to get you to say 'Moose & Squirrel'."

He laughs, before smiling at the thought of Eddie's toy.

"It's a little cube that he can toss around the floor. Every time it stops, a different member of our family pops up and says something to him. And he can throw it over and over until he gets tired.

I bet he'll /love/ it." Tony says.

"No and definitely no. Our family is /not/ going to be the subject of reality tv," she told him quite firmly.

"That...sounds wonderful and he'll love it."

She kissed his cheek. "You are an amazing man."

"I hope he will. I just want to him to have the best of everything, Tasha. That's all I really want for all of you." Tony says.

"And I'm willing to work until my hair turns gray and falls out to make that happen." Tony says.

"Now...what's going to be our first meal as soon as you have the baby?" he asks.

"I don't think our daughter will let you work that long," Natasha said. "She wants that chair and since she's your daughter, she will get it."

"Hrm. Whatever the private chef you are going to hire will make for me."

"Steak and lobster it is." She smiled. "Caviar if you really love me."

"I think we should hire a private chef. At least for the first few months."

A pause.

"We could let Anya cook."

"Oh, I see what you did there. You're angling for a new house, aren't you? That's the only reason you would /ever/ suggest letting Anya cook." Tony laughs.

"But caviar for you, steak and lobster for both of us." he says.

"Well, if he becomes the son-in-law, I'll consider that taken care of. But a personal chef for those two is probably a great idea.

Otherwise, they'll do nothing but have takeout." Tony says.

"Did we really live on takeout that long?"
