Battle In the Skies
The Avengers had a few days to go over the intel that Tony Stark and Captain America provided. It had been a time to rest and recuperate from any injuries sustained on their last mission.

The quiet was about to be shattered.

Alarms went off all over the flying airship. They were under attack by the forces of the Red Skull and the Skeleton Crew. Each member was on a flying platform with ten other troops, all armed with laser weapons and swords.

Vernique barely manged to avoid all the -- to her -- rather oversized blasts and was glad she was too tough to be bothered by the periphery of them. So she keeps making her way closer to the target in question.

For a moment he lost track of the very tiny woman. He found her again, but it was a little too late to keep her from getting close.

When Vernique made it near his shoulder, she gave him a pointblank shot and hoped now they were somewhere where tasers were more plentiful, he didn't have too much defense built into his costume.

Defenses were nonexistent in Blackwing's costume. The blast hit and it hurt. His whole arm went numb from the blast. He tried to swat her and when he missed he tried to shoot her.

She dodged the swatting and zoomed right around close to his neck when he tried to aim the gun. And takes another shot.
