Happy Birthday!
Natasha opened her eyes. It was morning and she was actually waking up on her own instead of to the cries of her son. It was a very rare occasion. Maybe sleeping a little extra longer was Nick's birthday preset to Tony. She turned over and was not too surprised to find her husband still in bed. So far he had been up with her each time that Nick woke her up.

"Happy birthday, my love," she said as she leaned up on an elbow and kissed his cheek. "Moose and squirrel." There. She said it. For him. For his birthday.

Words of Wisdom(?)

She'd bowed out of attending the birth, feeling too much of an outsider for that, but the kid was, in some weird way, kind of her brother, so Stevie did eventually stop by to see him.

"So you're the new one, huh? Well, I'm hoping you don't even have time to remember me, kid. Soon as MC fixes her doodad, I'm gonna be out of here and back home where I belong. Your dad, not-the-mama, he's nice enough, but it just isn't home. And see if you can get him to shave off the porn 'stache, okay?"

She let out a little breath.

"So here's the deal, little guy. You're gonna be a Stark. And a lot of people are gonna tell you that means a whole hell of a lot and that you've got a lot of responsibilities to live up to. But it doesn't. Don't ever let anybody tell you who you're supposed to be or what you're supposed to be or what you want to do with your life. You want to give it all up and go fix motorcyles somewhere in Jersey? You want to open some bakery in Idaho? Whatever.

You follow your dreams, not anybody else's. Don't ever get tied up in what people tell you you have to do. Only thing that matters is that you do what makes you happy."
