The sound of Ben's jaw hitting the table is audible. Midtown played against the boys from Exeter last year in a really close semi-finals game which Midtown narrowly won.
But playing on the Exeter court was about a half-step from being at Madison Square Garden, the way Ben remembered it.
"You went there...and now you're here? Is this some kind of experiment?" Ben asks.
"Why would you come here if you went there?" he asks, genuinely curious. He would have loved to go to Exeter if his parents had the money for it.
