The Follow-Up Visit
Vincent knocks at the door to Shanna's apartment. The conversation he needed to have with her could have been done over the phone, but he had an armful of dvds he wanted to loan her anyway. A mix of nature specials and social documentaries, along with the pop culture. It was rather refreshing to watch her take in the world at large. He remembered what it had been like for him when he escaped-- ...when someone helped him escape Latveria.

"No discomfort. Just a bit of surprise." Vincent shakes his head.

"Well, I did some thinking, and spoke with someone I trust implicitly, and I decided that I'm okay with a... casual arrangement within our friendship. As long as you still are." Her use of the past tense prompted offering the get-out clause for her, just to be on the safe side.

And yes, maybe he's got an extra button undone on his shirt, because dammit, outside of the fans, it feels good to have someone finding him desirable again.

	She can't help but beam. "I am. I would not have stated my interest in sharing heat if I couldn't wait. I am not like some silly girl who hasn't had a casual thing before. I understand how to.... Physiologically speaking, he doesn't need to come up for air for quite a long time, but he breaks the kiss at what seems like a comfortable pace, letting his cheek brush along hers as he speaks quietly into her ear.

"So... not to be presumptuous, but what did you have in mind when you first brought this subject up?" He smiles, letting a hand explore her waist as he kisses the shell of her ear.

And he's certainly not signaling like he's about to put up much, if any resistance, to anything she might do.

She let out a small pleased sound. Her own cheeks started to feel very warm. She was very happy to have Vincent this close.

"I was thinking of testing the strength of my bed under our...Actions," she said with a smoldering look sent his way.

"Right now though?" She runs a hand along one of his arms. "I'm quite tempted to toss you over my shoulder to carry you off Vincent."

But she pulls away to make sure the blinds are closed and instead of carrying Vincent off she plans to ravish him on her couch, then move them to another room. Hopefully her bed.

	Well Vincent doesn't seem to have any problems with that course of action. Ravish is probably a bit strong a term for the first time though. 	"That seems like a great idea." She pulls him up with her and excuses herself when she trips on his shoes. Then pulls him with her and shuts the door with one foot. 	A more modern building might have just had a moderate hole as Vincent was driven through it, along with part of the headboard. This one's out of maintenance enough that it crumbles to leave a rather gaping one. "...oh dear." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"I'm aware." Vincent says, trying to sound sympathetic, and covering himself up as well, ushering Shanna back to the living room.

After getting dressed and reporting the incident, Vincent helps her pack up some essentials and takes her out for lunch while they figure out what to do next.

He pushes her veggie-burger towards her. "I know you're upset, but you can't let yourself get dragged down by an honest mistake."

He's learned to take worse than this in stride by now. Mishaps of this particular nature aren't exactly foreign to him at this point.

She had been pretty speechless. She had not expected this to happen.

Finally she manages to nibble at the veggie burger. "I should have realized though, Vincent. I'm much stronger on this world. Heat gives me strength. It's why.... We see 'sharing heat' as sharing of each others strengths."

She is blushing a great deal. It was out of shame of not controlling herself better.

Vincent furrows his brow as he eats his own burger, then reaches over to pat her shoulder, keeping his voice low.

"I know what it can be like. I went through a similar adjustment phase when I came to Midg- Earth when I was very young. I've had more than a decade to get used to managing my strength, it's a credit to you that you haven't had any other mishaps." A pause, then he amends.

"I mean like breaking furniture, not this sort of thing.." He clears his throat and goes back to his lunch.

"Kleea. I know what you mean, Vincent." She shakes her head. "I learned to manage my strength while i worked for the Empress. She did not wish for me to break things, so I received training in strength control."

She hadn't used any words from her home world in a long time. It felt good to let out a little bit of something from home. She smiles at him. "Thank you for being so understanding. I... still must manage my strength."
