The Follow-Up Visit
Vincent knocks at the door to Shanna's apartment. The conversation he needed to have with her could have been done over the phone, but he had an armful of dvds he wanted to loan her anyway. A mix of nature specials and social documentaries, along with the pop culture. It was rather refreshing to watch her take in the world at large. He remembered what it had been like for him when he escaped-- ...when someone helped him escape Latveria.

Vincent grunted inwardly at his seeming knack for digging himself deeper. "Of course, on all counts. Thank you." He nods, then heads down to the lobby.

Once there, he approaches Shanna. "My brother is going to arrange a room for you here."

And Vincent had been afraid of what she might say?

She looked up. She had been offering directions to someone who had come into the wrong building. She had gotten bored.

He smiles and nods, before lowering his voice. "There was a stipulation that we should keep any further activities to your room, but I think that's wise anyway." He lets his voice rise again.

"I'll help you fit it with some more durable furniture this time. I can probably even find you the same bed frame type." He smiles reassuringly. "Now, do you need accommodations for tonight or is there someone else you can stay with?"

"I don't want to impose," she looks embarrassed. "I don't really have any friends that know that I'm an alien with super strength due to how warm it is here. Not easy to bring up in conversation."

"Fear not. I'll get you a hotel for the night, and tomorrow we can get started on the formalities and getting the rest of your stuff mvoed." He smiles, giving her a hug.

"We can get takeout and watch some movies again."
