What If?
The alarm rang and a fist came out from under the covers and slammed down on the alarm clock. It was waaaaaay too early to get up. Anya had stayed in the lab way too late of course and morning was already here. She wasn't sure what time it was when she stumbled up to bed, but it hadn't been that long ago.

Anya considered her options. Get out of bed and go to class or sleep and worry about class later or possibly tomorrow? Right now the latter was the better option and the one she was planning to go with. Staying in bed all day was a nice option.

A very sweaty Sarah comes in from her morning workout, bearing a tray ladened with breakfast goodies, picked up from the kitchen on her way back up. Unlike Anya, Sarah isn't a late sleeper - one can stay in the lab all night, but morning workouts are morning workouts, and Sarah never misses hers, outside of missions.

"Wake up, sleepy head." she calls with way too much good cheer for this time in the morning, but helping out the cheeriness some with breakfast in bed and a kiss for sleeping beauty. "Not going to let you be late for class, again."

	"But Mom! I don't wanna go!" Anya protested. "He's an old windbag who doesn't know what he's talking about. I'd rather stay in bed and snuggle with you." It had been awhile since Anya had some quiet time with her girlfriend. Sarah had Avengers stuff that kept her busy and school had been a bear lately. The two didn't mix well. Sarah, meanwhile, is a Rogers, through and through. Work and responsibility first, even if it sucks sometimes.

"We can snuggle up and have breakfast, then I'll fly you to Boston myself so we can make the trip quicker and have more us time first. Besides, I like carrying you. You're still going to class... we just don't need to hurry as much to get you there on time."

	"I can get there almost as fast as you," she said peeking her face out from under the covers. "I just don't want to go. It's cold out there and I was learning this stuff years ago from my dad." 	"You fly as fast as I do, but it takes you a while to suit up, unless you're using the briefcase suit. And if it wasn't too cold, it'd be too hot. You just don't want to go. "I tore my regular suit apart last night and only have the suitcase suit for now," she said. Anya rolled on to her side and leaned up on an elbow.

"Of course I don't want to go. I'll just sit there and not pay attention anyway. So why bother going out in the cold?"

Anya smiled. "Of course I don't mind. Though I like it better when you work up a sweat because of me."

"You're going to go because you're the one who decided to take this class, and because I know your ticklish spots. I can meet you for lunch after the team workout this afternoon though, if you want? Sarah returned the kiss and settled in comfortably. She can see the appeal to staying in bed all day, oh yes. Notthat it'd ever happen, but she can see it.

"That I do. And sounds like a plan to me. We can do lunch wherever you'd like. If you're free tonight after class, maybe we can do something after afternoon training. I've got a couple sparring sessions to get through, nothing too heavy."

"Got to do something to make up for making you do things that are good for you." she replies with a wink. "Really though, I just picked it up on my way up. I've found that if I leave an order with the kitchen staff, its ready about the time morning workout is done. Donna isn't Jarvis, but she still makes a mean omelette. As for somewhere warm, soon as your school hits winter break, sure! Long as they have a gym."

	Anya got hit in the face with the tossed tee and laughed. She followed Sarah into the bathroom, stripping as she went. It was a good start to the day. Now if the rest of the day went this well Anya would be set and very happy. (Reply to this)(Parent)
