Hey Cuz
Seeing as how she was in Greenwich Village fairly frequently these days, which was really only a hop, skip, and jump away from Westchester County for someone who could, you know, teleport, Dawn wondered why she hadn't looked up her cousin before now.

Granted, David was almost ten years younger than her, but he was family all the same.  And Aunt Catherine was always great.  Besides, the Defenders were getting more and more exposure these days and now that her parents knew about what she'd been doing with her life lately (boy, that had been an uncomfortable, but eventually all right Thanksgiving), it was only a matter of time before the rest of her family found out.

So she'd phoned again and shown up at the Institute.

She rang the buzzer.

"You've always babbled when you were nervous," David recalls fondly.

"Well, her name is Rachel. She's... Cool. In a very non-conventional way. She's nice to everyone no matter where they come from or who they are. She likes planes and cars." He can't help but grin. "I was working on rebuilding a Mustang. She helped me with the wiring when I had trouble with it."

He smiles like a boy who is very smitten. "And she's brave. One of the bravest girls I've ever met. It's... Awesome. Ya know? To see just how honest she is and how willing she is to do the right thing."

Oh, the boy is definitely smitten, at least as far as she can tell.

"She sounds like a great girl," she agrees. "She your, ah, girlfriend then?"
