A Job Well Done
It had been a long two weeks in New York, but in the end they had managed to get quite a few recruits for the new shows. Now that they were just about done here in New York, they'd be heading off to Los Angeles. There were always people looking to be the next big star in that town and recruiting should be easier.

The screening process was slow because the boss didn't want just anyone in the shows. He wanted people that would deliver action and most importantly ratings. Not your everyday ordinary Joe Schmoo off the street would do. The boss wanted people with charisma, or ones who could provide a lot of action. Mutants were great for the latter and they couldn't just come out and ask people if they were mutants. There was a battery of very specific questions and then a small "screen test" to see what they could do.

So far the boss had been pleased with the ones that had been found and sent back.

They had two more days here in New York and then it was off to Hollywood where the pickings would be better and easier. Sweepzweak couldn't wait to get to Hollywood where sun and beautiful women awaited.

Moira shoots Chris a worried look. Attacking first could often be the weaker position. On the other hand, who knew? "We are actually looking for five people, who probably came here last week. You'd no doubt remember the one with the aquamarine hair, at least?" Nice girl, that Jenny. Mummy'd have loved to know someone like her when she was Moira's age. As her mind cycled through that pleasant little thought, she continued, voice calm, hand still in jacket, "If you can just explain what happened...?"

	While everyone else is talking, Lucas tries to get out of main line of sight to close his eyes and try to focus, seeing if he can gain some kind of insight into what might have happened here, now that he's on site. His visions aren't usually very consistent, without dreams to work with, but some places keep some resonance, at the least. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Calm down cat...whatever you are," Dylan said as he rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Aquamarine hair? Hrm. We've had a lot of people come in here with different color hair."

Timeslot nodded. "He's right. We have had a lot of people come in here in the last two weeks. Everyone wants to be famous." She paused. "Well except for y'all. Which is really strange."

Antagonista pressed a button on a small device to signal Mojo to send Spiral here to collect this bunch.

	Behind the recruiters, Misha watched them fidget and try to fool the others. Every instinct said they were lying. He didn't like this at all. It was the prickling sense down his neck that something was trying to creep up on him. Stealth mode was still on when he used the helmet comm to warn the others. "Don't get close. Stay alert." Lucas responds back into the comm, trying to maintain his meditation while talking slowly, trying to see what had happened, or might be coming, "I'm trying to find some trace of them in the resonance here. If we get really frustrated here, I might have another option... but something is definitely wrong here. I'm picking up... I'm not quite sure. Magic of some sort, maybe?"
