A Job Well Done
It had been a long two weeks in New York, but in the end they had managed to get quite a few recruits for the new shows. Now that they were just about done here in New York, they'd be heading off to Los Angeles. There were always people looking to be the next big star in that town and recruiting should be easier.

The screening process was slow because the boss didn't want just anyone in the shows. He wanted people that would deliver action and most importantly ratings. Not your everyday ordinary Joe Schmoo off the street would do. The boss wanted people with charisma, or ones who could provide a lot of action. Mutants were great for the latter and they couldn't just come out and ask people if they were mutants. There was a battery of very specific questions and then a small "screen test" to see what they could do.

So far the boss had been pleased with the ones that had been found and sent back.

They had two more days here in New York and then it was off to Hollywood where the pickings would be better and easier. Sweepzweak couldn't wait to get to Hollywood where sun and beautiful women awaited.

	Moira had been on her guard. She'll step towards the bizarre arrival right after, drawing her hand -- clutching a small mace -- out of her coat and striking at one of the sword-arms with one fluid motion, even as she shifts to halfform. 	Corey knows he'd only get in the way if he got anywhere near Spiral. Without direct access to the ground, he can't work at his best. But he focuses, hoping that his powers haven't been completely cancelled out by whatever stilled the ground before, and tries send what's under the floor roaring up against the most close-together of the Hollywood recruiters. Confronting the young man in front of her and the other about to charge, Spiral was not in the best position, just after her arrival, to parry the wolfgirl's blow, retracting the hand quickly with a hiss as the sword dropped from her grasp.

She did swipe at Lucas's weapon however, trying to disarm first. The bloat would want them alive.

"Contractual haggling already?"
The remaining arms were in an intricate little port-de-bras, shooting out something to mystically stun the young man-mountain.

	Lucas nearly loses his spear... she's fast, and very, very good. He steps back, letting the brick and wolf girl handle the confrontation, switching to chanting a warding call instead, unable to entirely cancel her spell, but weakening its effect and power a little. 	Spiral nimbly moved out of the way of Joe's strike. A metal arm caught the very edge of Misha's blast, not quite quick enough to dance out of it. Spiral hissed, but seemed to recover quickly. "So hard to stop, little man-mountain, but to slice?" Two swords will be going at Joe now. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Trapped somewhat by Static, Lucas is nonetheless mostly focused on Spiral still. His biggest help here is support. "Her blades are magical, be careful. I can heal the wounds and make sure she doesn't leave anything nasty ensorceled in later... but no one is immune to those." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
