Meeting of the Minds
Griffen had decided he was going to start ordering parts for new computer upgrades. It wasn't his thing but it had to be done. That was when he had noticed someone was already doing his job for him. That was a little surprise.

He smiled a little as he picked up one of the boxes to check out what was being installed. He gave a low whistle of geek approval as he wandered into the computer room. He looked up and had a moment of surprise.

"Miss Stark?" He blinks again then offers her a smile. "It's good to see you again. Is there anything I can do to help you?"

He doesn't seem as shy as he once was but then again the first time they met was in the middle of a crisis and the next time they were around each other was when the Defenders got called in. Griffen notes that they never really got to talk before.

	Anya smiled. "I won't be long." She headed off toward the main building. A swimsuit would probably be a little hard to find on such short notice, but the shorts and tank top she wore under her armor would do just fine. 	Halbjorn doesn't bother to change, just heading down to the beach and settling in while he waits. She gets something of a quizzical look as she brings the board down. "Those hath something to do with this surfing?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Yes," she grinned. "This is a surfboard. Kind of required for surfing." She slowly walked across the sand toward him. The board was an older board and therefore bigger and a little heavier than modern surfboards. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Come then," she said and let him take the board. "Just get it to the water for me then I'll show you how this is done. Usually wetsuits would be better, but I forgot mine and there aren't any up in the building so we'll have to make do without." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Wetsuits?" he seems a bit confused. Then he shrugs. "Tis well enow, I wilt be more than glad enow to see thee unclothed." he agrees amicably, as he easily hauls the board down to the water for her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Unclothed?! "I'm going to surf with this on," she said. "We don't exactly do it unclothed. Usually swimwear or wetsuits." Not that she would mind seeing him unclothed. Not at all.

"Here. Watch. I'll be right back." She took the board from him, put it in the water and then walked it out into the water a short ways. Once she was deep enough she climbed aboard and started paddling.

	Anya paddled out quite far and then turns around. She shook her head and waited for a wave. It didn't take long. A good sized one was forming. She readied herself and when it was time, she stood up and started riding the wave. "Waaahoo!" she cried out. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	She managed to ride the wave for a short while before she fell off and went head first into the water. She came back up and was laughing. She never said she was any good at surfing. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He dashes out into the water, but then sees her laughing. He settles into a quick, easy swim, fetching her board and stopping nearby. "Tis a most intriguing sport indeed." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Aye, most assuredly!" He pulls himself onto the board as soon as its offered, and paddles out. True to his nature, he passes on a handful of waves that would probably be good for a beginning, not even trying until he finds one Anya would have deemed 'good'.
He manages to get to his feet, and even stay on briefly - he has excellent coordination at the least. He's pitched off violently, going in head over heels, but comes up laughing, pursuing the board.
"I see the appeal, dost thou wish the next wave? Mayhap I wilt learn from watching thee... or mayhap I shalt simply appreciate watching thee for its own sake. The wet shirt ist most fetching."

	He's used to learning to fight on backed ice, or on narrow mountain ledges. Dissimilar as it seems, it helps some with learning balance. "I look forward to the next a'ready." he replies, then paddles back a bit to watch her next attempt. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He pulls himself up on the board. He does slightly better this time. Higher education may be totally lost on him, he doesn't even have the same grasp Svalin does on tactics, leadership training and other battlefield arts. But physical training is a daily reality, and he's starting to take this as seriously.
He falls hard again, but comes up with the same huge grin, paddling rapidly after the board and fetching it over to her. "Thy turn once more."
